*THRILLING!* *ACTION PACKED!* *SUSPENSEFUL!* *YOU WON'T BELIEVE YOUR EYES!*
On today's episode of "But I Had It In My Hand A Second Ago!" WHEN did Stitchwoman actually have the scissors in her hand? WHERE did she put them down?? WHY did she put them down?? WHAT was she thinking? WILL she finish all the projects on time before the villainous Deadline Mgee burns the Children's Hospital for Orphaned Children Who Don't Have Any Legs?? WHO is the owner of the mysterious patterned fabric she has no memory of ever buying?? TUNE IN at 4 for this exciting, continuing drama!
Current mood after fucking with my new Singer for 2 days to finally figure out its a digital issue that cannot be fixed.
Me, measuring fabric to cut.
My cats: THIS IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED EVEN THE BIRD IM GOING TO LAY HERE AND MAKE THIS AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE BTW YOUR PATTERN MOVED DONT WORRY I WILL GET IT
all i want to do right now is light Thranduil on fire
Finally super disgruntled with my underwear, enough to want to go out and just buy a 5 pack (I haven't bought new ones in... well, a while). Instead spent the money on Thread Theory's Comox Trunks pdf pattern, and hoping I can alter it to make a pair of girltrunks. [ If you remember, I've put together a boxer-short style underwear pattern roundup post that I keep adding onto when I find more patterns. ]
The frustrating part (and the part that caused me to abandon this earlier in the year) is finding "plush" knit elastic online that is suitable for underwear. I know I can just buy regular knit elastic, or make a casing with my fabric so that it blends in, but I want to be able to buy this nice stuff in bulk without having to buy a whole case! This is when living near a fashion/garment district would come in handy, instead of trying to rely on product descriptions online. [ Although, I did buy this "soft waistband elastic" from Joann's with a coupon a while ago, and I'll probably use it on whatever ends up being my best-fitting muslin. This ends up being ~$3/yard, and is not in any neutral colors, like, say, grey or black. ]
So it's looking like tomorrow will be a sewing day!
AUGH I keep sewing pants, skirts, even lingerie bottoms because I love those, so now I only have 1 shirt and a bajillion pairs of pants for Aletta! What am I supposed to do with only ONE SHIRT? AY
