The inside is lined in a red velvet (Type) material.. The handle is a gold tone flexible woven chain type. 4 brass coated knob type feet. The closure is a sturdy 3 ball hasp. MEASUREMENTS: Outside of Box- 4 3/4" tall. 6" wide x 6". Inside of box - 3 1/2" deep and 5" x 5". There are a couple of small chipped areas on the edge of bottom rim. ( I account for these in the price) The talented Artist signed his initials on the base along with the date. JD 1973. I believe it is the same artist from the other box I have. (James Delcour from St. Louis) .Also, I bought at the same place as the other one.. This has a WONDERFUL patina and is extremely artistically well done.
