🌸Weekend Handwork with Passion & Time 🌸 This was one of the sewing 🧵 🪡 project that haven planed out the design several years ago ever since got the dress with long story if you remember in my post many moons ago. The point is I was happily spending time and money invested on Rare Antique pieces and ready to preserve. This 1920 hand-embroidered dress was added with 1910 handmade lace so I should do stitching by hand more than machine. It took me the whole weekend. Firstly, embroidery the pink silk tiny ribbon through the antique lace and then fold up the hemlines equivalent to the lace border to secure. Following by hand sew 🪡 with tiny back stitches which is my favorite technique and easiest to do on the lace. Nevertheless, all treads using were 1930 cotton.
