say its my own personal opinion, informed by experience and many hours of philosophy and sociology study(but not in school)

im not transgender. i never changed genders.

i never transitioned from Man to Woman.

ive always been a woman or a girl.

i just never had the right of agency.

my Gender is Woman.

i did, however, change my primary sex hormones.

that, to me, makes me transsex.

(not transexual because nobody says intersexual)

i Transitioned from the Male hormone testosterone, to the Female hormone Estrogen.

i am Female.

genitals has nothing to do with sex or gender

imo.

its cis society that labels people as male or female and assumes man or woman, and *Implies* penis or vagina.

because society is so simultaneously ashamed and Obsessed with genitals and sex, it uses euphamisms EVEN IN MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRES!

i would like for them to simply ask, up front:

what is your Genital Configuration?: Penis/Vagina/something else

what is your Sex?: Male/Female/something else

what is your Gender: Man/Woman/Nonbinary/something else

i feel this would be a more honest set of questions

and would set all the facts straight in these reguards, for me and my doctor.

(no, my doctor does not need to know what gender i am attracted to. because the gender of persons im attracted to has nothing to do with their fucking genitals or their primary sex hormones)

12th grade boys are more likely than girls to say they want to get married. So obviously, the main factor here is misogyny. It's gotten so bad that people are saying it's embarrassing to have a boyfriend and show him online now, I suppose because the implication is that you're desperate as a lot of young men are into the manosphere. I will say, I do wonder if part of it is because there are better things to do than raise a family, but the thing about that idea is that from a first-world technological standpoint, it's been improving for years now and with the rise of depression rates amongst the youth and the culture of destimulating yourself, you would think the next step would be people going:

"I want real, human, connection. I want something that I can take to my grave. I want to die alongside the people I love. I want to leave something behind." But no, people (at least) are rejecting marriage, with no real alternative to these feelings, which is interesting. Maybe more people have taken a mindset similar to my own, the idea that romance is the most shallow type of love and that realistically, even you're famous, you'll be forgotten 4 generations after your death anyway, but IDK, I think to a lot of people that mindset would read as nihilistic, but then again, there's arguably been more of a rise in nihilism with the rise of the internet.

If misogyny isn't the core problem or the sole core problem, what should we do to fix it? Maybe set up systems that make single parenting, adopting, obtaining sperm/eggs easier? Socially decentralizing romance? Prioritizing making our spaces more communal? A mix of all three? Or maybe the problem really is solely misogyny and I'm just conflating this with the birthrate stuff. I think in our context, it is a contributor.
