Here I collect a few links, normally 4/5 urls, pointing at articles, docs, screencasts, podcasts and anything else that attracts my attention in the clojure-sphere. I add a small comment so you can decide if you want to look at the whole thing or not. That’s it, enjoy!

Writing Clojure in Vim For you lonely Clojure-Vim developer out there, here's a short selection of the most relevant plugins and tricks you need to use these days. It basically describes my current setup which I'm very proud of. I think the main take-away here is to leave paredit to use the more vim-aware sexp with time pope's mapping.

weavejester/brutha Another framework in the React-inspired ecosystem. Brutha takes the minimalist approach, leaving out cursors and atoms and leaving to you the responsibility to handle state. In general is good to keep an eye to anything coming from James Reeves ;)

LuxLang/lux Very experimental stuff, but there some interesting bits in there. Lux is a Clojure inspired (syntax) Haskell inspired (types) ML inspired (modules) language. I quickly glanced over the README and I saw a couple of interesting things: macros carry the entire compiler state with them (monad style) and custom types can be used for destructuring (not just maps/lists). There is much more but it looks a promising idea. It is written in Clojure with its own ASM-based bytecode generation.

proxy - clojure.core | ClojureDocs Proxy is a quite powerful function. It uses the ASM api to generate a Java class and loads it into the current classloader ready for use. It's not very different from the Clojure compiler internals, but it offers similar functionality in a very compact single function. The generated class is anonymous, so you can only use it in the context of the proxy call (unlike gen-class). When to use? It is very valuable to produce Java classes like callbacks in the context of Java interop. For instance, it makes Swing code quite compact.

vim sexp mappings for normal people cheat sheet Must have if you develop Clojure with sexp and Pope's re-interpretation of shortcuts. I'm using it instead of paredit (too emacsy for my tastes) and flying pretty fast. Worth a screencast at some point, stay tuned. s-expression aware tooling for developing Lisp is quite important, since most operations become faster (on top of the already incredibly fast Vim support for "pairs" of things). Give it a try on a lazy Friday afternoon to see what I mean.

EuroClojure 2015 - Speakers EuroClojure presenters list is out and is full of interesting talks! I'm going to Barcelona, so give me a buzz if you're there for a chat or drink. Personally I'm looking forward to a few talks, like Clojure on Android (more interested in Skummet than Android), c-tries in Clojure, Om, all the experience reports and of course all the corridors chatting. Also worth mentioning that I'm giving a talk on Saturday at the Java Barcelona Conf, an event that is going on at the same time of EuroClojure. I'll post a dedicated link to that.
