been tooling around on some old hardware as practice to try out linuxOS' and on a 10yr old laptop all i can really do is watch movies and type.
gaming? everythings beyond outdated
video editing? if you have more than 1 track playing you can forget about using the program. something that should have taken me 30mins took 3 hrs across3 different open src editors.
this isnt me lamenting my situation, more so that old hardware (which is not even THAT bad) being left behind.
last and final test for this is going to be a small godot project, though if trends persist i cant say im hopeful.
good news is my coworker has a newer (2019) laptop theyre trying to get rid so i may pick up a new toy :)
