friend otp: Jaime, and not really anyone else (which is part of her tragedy)
general opinions: Oh, Cersei. Malevolent and anxious and not as intelligent as she thinks she is, but strangely compelling all the same. I think she’s a fascinating study of what Westeros’s institutionalized sexism/misogyny can do to a person, especially when she’s made it (or had it made for her) so that Jaime is the only other person in the world she really seems to trust, ever. (And Jaime and Cersei, of course, are a study in mirrors and narcissism, what with the whole twin thing played up.) I cannot like her as a person, but then again, there aren’t a whole lot of ASoIaF characters that I can like as a person. But she’s very interesting to read about.
