-going off the idea that you never told them, they prolly find out pretty quickly. habit is a pretty affectionate guy so he finds out by accident. went to hold ur hand or put a hand on ur shoulder, once he notices ur reaction he gets a lil worried and confused and asks if ur ok bc?? ?? you turned red ??? hi????

-if you brush it off and say it’s nothing he gets worried still and tries to be more mindful and keeps his hands to himself for the most part but that’s kinda. depressing SO you’ll probably cave in and tell him either when he first notices ur reaction or eventually

-it takes him a minute or two but he just giggles a little bit and quickly reassures that he’s not laughing at you but!! you coulda just told him that silly!! he always gives you a bunch of affection from then on bc a he doesn’t want u to feel starved and b he likes ur reaction (he’s rude and evil now >:3 /j)

-kamal on the other hand?? he’s kinda the same way, he’s just a little less aware of it??like?? he’s always been so nervous at the idea of affection so he just. kinda didn’t ever rlly get a chance to indulge in it so its just. not something on the forefront of his mind.

-needless to say you are both messes the first time that you two hold hands 

-boris is very concerned that you both got sick /hj

-they both are totally fine with the fact that ur touch staved and honestly !! they probably both are a little touch starved as well to varying degrees so it works out

-you better hope y’all invest in some good fans because they both run at least mostly warm so u MAY just overheat when ur cuddling with them both /j (you guys take turns on who’s in the middle ofc btw)

UHHSHSHSHSUBG GALAXY BRAIN!!!! GALAXY BRAIN!!!!! (also this turned into sort of a drabble mixed w headcanons hehe)

Boris Habit with a short s/o wearing his coat!

You decided that you wanted to surprise your boyfriend Habit by showing up at his house to hang out, since he had been expressing how much he missed you a couple hours ago (even though you were hanging out all day yesterday), so you decided to pop up at his house to say hello!

Surprisingly, when you got there, no one answered the door. Usually Habit answered the door as soon as he hears someone pull into his driveway or knock, but this time you were met with nothing. Pulling out the spare key he gave you in case something like this happened, you unlocked the door and walked inside.

It looked like no one was home, so you decided that you’d come back later, when suddenly, you spot something on the couch! It looks like he either left the house without his coat, or just wore a different one today. Since no one was around, you decided to do the only logical thing and try the coat on. I mean, who wouldn’t? the guys over 7 feet tall, and his coat is still big on him.

After looking around to make sure you were alone, you pick up the heavy coat and put it on, reveling in the softness of it. The whole thing was way bigger than you, too! you could wrap it around your entire body, and it trailed on the floor underneath your feet. You were completely enveloped in the soft fabric, and it was warm and smelled like him too!

You sit on his couch for a few moments, breathing in the scent of coins, dirt, and flowers, when suddenly you hear a door open behind you. You jump and turn around, the jacket still covering your small frame, only to see a very flustered Habit, wearing his shirt and covered in dirt. You both just stare at each other, faces red and surprised, before he smiles and walks towards you.

“S/O! u did not tell me you were coming over! I would hav made u som t or cough-fee if i had knew!” He picks you up and hugs you, getting some of the dirt on his coat and your face. “You’re wearing my jacket? how cute!” He says, holding you in front of him by your underarms. Despite how calm he sounded, his face was bright red and you could see the sweat on his forehead.

Turns out, he was out in his backyard gardening, and got so distracted by his flowers that he didn’t hear you come in. He explains all of this with a blush on his face, though he never asks for his jacket back. In fact, he insists that you wear it as often as you want!! You look so adorable and comfy in it, and he loves seeing you happy. Sometimes he even wraps it around you when you two are alone, and when he hugs you he uses his pockets to fully smother you in his chest.

Wearing his jacket was definitely a win for the both of you! You got to see him flustered, and he gets to see you smile.

"Boris, stop!" You pleaded as you stood in the doorway, eyes brimming with tears.

The good doctor gave a chuckle as his gaze turned away from his victim - a one Dallas Smuth, strapped down tightly against the operating chair, shaking with fright. You could hear the soft whining and gagging noises coming from the man,  the bite block in his mouth preventing him from speaking or closing his mouth.

Boris' eyes, swimming with adoration, lazily roamed over your form. "U kno I cant keep putting this off, my flower… Don't u want every 1 to be happy and smile-ing?

You shrunk back, biting your lip. "You know I do, but…" You just need more time. More time to plan a way to get everyone out of here, and with all of their teeth intact. "I - I want more time to spend with you. I… I miss you. This takes up so much of your time and… I wanted to spend a little more time, just you and I, y'know?"

You could see the excitement light up in his eyes, but the man turned away, trying to hide it from you. He liked to play hard-to-get and tease you, or at least pretend to.

"Hmm," The dentist hummed, scrunching up his face and tapping a finger against his chin. "I suh-pose…"

You smiled in relief - only for Boris to snatch it away.

"I suh-pose that," He continued, moving to loom over you, shadows blanketing his face, eyes piercing into you as he leans ever closer to you. "A kiss will satiss-fy me ;-)..."

Kamal Bora with a s/o who uses neopronouns

- Kamal noticed that you never seemed 100% comfortable being called by your pronouns, whether that be he or she. For a while, he was too nervous to ask about it.

- One day, you two were cuddling on the couch, when you turned to him. You quietly ask if he can call you by your preferred pronouns, and he was surprised. Kamal was quiet for a moment, but gave you a nod. It would take him a bit to wrap his mind around it.

- When you went to bed, he began researching your preferred pronouns. This introduced him to the neopronouns community. Considering he was neutral on the transmedicalist vs tucutes debate, he was still unsure about the pronouns. But...he loved you too much to be against it.

- He’ll slip up a lot at first, but the sparkle in your eyes when he knows it’s right for you. While he’s still neutral, he’s more accepting of neopronouns than most.

- He loves you lots, and he’ll happily learn more for you.

And I do have a lil request-thing because I always see everyone write self inserts as a LOT shorter than Habit...but I'm 5'8 and a bit (almost 5'9 or something like that I think), so I don't exactly relate to being incredibly short. I know I'm not incredibly tall either, but a little taller than average...so I'd just love to see Habit with an s/o who isn't short-

They’re shorter than him, but not that short:

-this is the most likely experience

-he’s used to being taller than other people so it’s not something that he pays a super huge amount of attention too

-which. has mixed consequences. he sometimes forgets you can’t reach things as high up as he can so he accidentally places things a little too high for you

-as SOON as he notices you struggling and puts two and two together he apologizes repeatedly, genuinely u’ve never seen someone of his stature just get down on their knees and beg for forgiveness before /j (he doesn’t actually go THAT far but he still apologizes a lot and feels bad abt cus!! you were struggling!! and you could’ve gotten hurt if you tried to climb up to get it!! what if you fell!! what if the thing you were reaching for fell on  you!! wha- you get the point)

-his coat is still big on you though so feel free to snatch that shit like a blanket he doesn’t mind!! he thinks its cute actually :]

They’re the same height as him:

-he was rlly surprised!! he’s never rlly met someone that was the same height as him so he’s not used to it!!

-if you two just happened to run into each other at some point and that’s how you met he tries to play it off but you can see that he’s a lil surprised but he!! doesn’t wanna sound weird or rude!!! he’s RESPECTFUL and KIND!!

-kamal stares at you both from afar wordlessly and wonders why god has put him on a path of being around tall people /j

-there’s no height struggle so you guys dont have to worry abt putting things too high for one another which!! is nice!!

-also maybe you two swap each others clothes occasionally just for funsies if they fit you both, he probably won’t rlly admit it on his own but he rlly likes wearing ur clothes if he can bc they remind him of you and it makes him feel safe an happy 

They’re taller than him:

-ok but you guys just happen to run into each other when he’s out with kamal to pick up supplies or sumthin and ur apologizing and making small talk while kamal stares up at you. he thought he already met someone tall when it came to habit but now that he’s seen you. whadda hell. do you enjoy tormenting him???? /J

-anyway he probably doesn’t even totally realize just how tall you are because in his mind he doesn’t rlly register himself as that tall?? he feels average height in his head you know?? but he notices it whenever you have to crouch down through doorways and he just kinda ‘huh’

-you know the like ‘excuse me he asked for NO pickel’ thing??? thats you two probably maybe

-if ur clothes are big on him he !!! goes bonkers goes insane !! clothes are usually too small for him or something so this is so new to him!! he probably gets into the habit (haha) of wanting to take ur jackets / coats / sweaters / whatever but he feels bad so he always asks you. he’s a little anxious about it but whenever you say yes he ‘:-D!!’

-ok so hear me out chances are you two bully eachother a lot but in that endearing kinda way you know?? she always makes sure to never go far and if you ever seem a little hurt by one of her comments she stops immediately and subtly tries to comfort / cheer u up and apologize

-idk how to really explain this but she is genuinely just so confused??? you’re insecure abt urself??? you -her wonderfully creative, intelligent, attractive S/O- are insecure???

💛 You could trust Kamal, of that you were certain. Kamal was trustworthy, Kamal was a friend - after all, hadn't he told you his troubles in good conscience? Hadn't he vented his plights with dealing with the doctor? How Boris had treated him and others so cruelly, had made fun of him and abandoned him. And Kamal had gotten you into Habit's office, as well, so you could finally face the mad doctor. Yes, you could trust Kamal.

💚 As it turns out, you could NOT trust Kamal. You're made quite certain of that when you spot Habit, grinning, his gaze behind you. When you turn back, you watch as Kamal follows you into the office. He seems anxious, giddily grinning and fidgeting. He locks the door behind you. The puzzle pieces fall into place in your mind. You were set up from the beginning. 

💛 You were not doomed the moment you began to trust Kamal, no, nor when you first made his acquaintance - you were doomed the moment you stepped into the habitat. Oh, how the good doctor and his right hand man were drawn to you the moment they laid eyes on you. You… Oh, you were something special, they were certain. And, of course, the dentist and his assistant could both see it. You were a gem, a shining smile among lifeless frowny faces. They had to protect such a rare treat… They had to have you…!

💚 How sweet you were. How sweet… and how naive. You were so kind, so optimistic, trying to make the dullards that made up the habitat happy,  to make them smile. Silly thing! You were too precious for the outside world. You'd see, once they had you in their thrall, you'd see - Habit's way was the only way that everyone would always be happy and smiling, forever. But, first, they had to get to you first.

💛 Their plan was simple, but enough to trick you. You were too kind to resist the urge to help, and, in the end, that was your downfall. You're momentarily frozen in shock, feeling Kamal's gangly arms wrap around you from behind, the man's body pressing up against your back. You feel as he sighs contentedly against you, nuzzling even closer to you. Before you can attempt to squirm free, Habit embraces you - his own arms much stronger than his assistant. The good doctor smiles and giggles as you try in vain to free yourself. He and Kamal shush you, pressing soft kisses on your face and neck. They tell you that there's no need to worry or fight anymore, they'd never hurt you! In fact… They love you. And you and they would to make all the world smile! Doesn't that sound wonderful?

Boris Habit 

Habit really doesn’t mind what you look like, as long as you love each other! but, he has to admit, he DOES kinda love the height difference. 

he’s taller than everyone already, but it’s just way more fun when your way shorter than him! he likes to tease you by leaning over you or smothering you in a hug, as well as picking you up and spinning you around

speaking of hugs, hugs and cuddles are the BEST with Habit, especially if you’re fun-sized. when you’re cuddling or sleeping together, he’ll absolutely just wrap his entire body around you, and he loves to just feel you in his arms. hugs can last for hours if you don’t pull away! 

i sure hope you’re not scared of heights, cause he loves to carry you on his shoulders! sure, he might bump your head into the ceiling fan or doorway every once in awhile, but he makes up for it in kisses after 

and if you ARE scared of heights, no worries! he still loves to just hang out with you, and he loves to garden with you so that the lower plants can get watered without him having to bend down so much 

you guys just love to love each other! and don’t even worry if you’re insecure, cause Habit’s ALWAYS there to make you feel better, in any way he can!

Kamal Bora

honestly, Kamal’s just glad to be so much taller than someone. he hates to admit it, but he feels kinda powerful when he doesn’t have to look up to talk to you

don’t get mad if you’re standing next to him and he starts using you as an arm rest, he doesn’t even notice he’s doing it! he kinda just, subconsciously leans into you and rests his arms on top of you, same if you’re standing in front of him 

he’s not as much of a big spoon when it comes to cuddling, so it might be a little awkward unless you just lay your head on top of him. he still loves to cuddle with you, though! 

if he ever catches you looking at yourself in the mirror or at a model in a magazine with a sad look in your eyes, he’ll do his best to make you feel better about yourself! he may not be the best at kissing or giving compliments, but he’ll really try for you, because he all he ever wants is to see you happy.
