Does Nova asks about her mom?

I do ask sometimes. Dad was pretty good about telling me about her even without me asking. Obviously he didn't explain everything until I was old enough, but even when I was little I knew that I had a mom and she had died being brave and saving everyone. I know it makes him sad to think about her, but sometimes he also likes to tell me stories or say when I do something that reminds him of her. He doesn't like to talk too much about when she actually died, but I know most of the story at this point.

I don't miss my mom, exactly, but sometimes I get a sad, almost nostalgic feeling when I think about her. Dad did a great job raising me, but I really do wish I could have met my mom as well. Someday I want to go up to space and see where she came from, and maybe even where she died. Dad hasn't decided if he's going to come with me or not, but I think if he does it will be good for him, even if it's hard.

For Nova: Do you get along with your cousins?

Has there been any kind of fights or you just happen to get pretty good with them

I love my cousins! I've had a few fights with them here and there, like cousins do, but nothing really serious.

Uncle Sonic and Aunt Amy's kids, Dash and Mouse, are both a few years younger than me, so I babysit them occasionally. Dash can get into mischief sometimes (and drag Mouse along with him), but he's also a sweetheart.

Uncle Knuckles and Aunt Rouge's kids are also really great, although I don't see them as much because they're usually up on Angel Island. The only one I'd say I don't get along well with is Knux. He's not always the nicest, and plays pranks on me and Mint sometimes. We don't hate each other or anything, but we do argue sometimes. I've learned to be brave and stand up to him when he's being mean to someone or taking something that doesn't belong to him. Spear is very serious and can be hard to interact with, so we aren't close, but we get along. And I love the little ones so much!

I don't know if Mint counts as my cousin, but I do think of Mrs. Vanilla and Vector as almost my aunt and uncle, so maybe she counts. Mint is my best friend! She's super sweet and fun and really, really strong.

How's your dad doing?

Dad's doing really well! Eggman's been pretty lazy and hasn't had any big schemes lately, so Dad's had a lot more time for inventing and going flying. He even lectured at the university in Spagonia recently! He takes me with on all his trips, so I've had a lot of fun seeing the world and especially getting to see the places he went on adventures when he was young. He also spends a lot of time hanging out with Uncle Sonic, as always.

Okay..oof. Hey! I'm a fellow earthling from Turkey who loves writing and reading, and 5 days ago I started reading your fic SFS. I just wanted to say that it's been an amazing journey as I dive into the final chapter- and I wanted to tell you this as a person who is having problems with their sexuality. Not being able to admit is hard, and because of that I could highly relate to your fic. So yeah, thank you for making my heart race and making me feel queasy in the best way possible at 4 am :)

But I’m so so glad you’ve enjoyed reading what I have to write, and that it helped you in some way - I try to make my characters relatable and natural and at times they’re /too/ relatable :’D but Jean especially is very painful but very real and multi-faceted and I just love them all so much <3 so it’s so great to hear people love them just as much!

Hi, I just wanted to say that the latest chapter of SFS was excellent, honestly I've read it at least twice at this point. I am not really heavily into the snk fandom anymore, but I always check to see if you've updated because I am just so heavily invested in Marco as a character in this story, I relate so much to him and the things he's feeling. So thank you for another wonderful chapter, I look forward to the next!

I do want to, in the future, condense SFS down, change a few details and make it an original story so it’s good to hear from someone who’s not as invested in the fandom as others that the story stands alone :)

I don't know if it's been asked before or if its there somewhere and I missed it, but where in the North is SFS!Jean from? Originally I guessed a Yorkshire accent, but with the 'nowt' I ended up hearing it as a heavy Blackburn accent. But being from Bolton myself, I'm now just reading it Boltonian. Good old Jean from Bolton lmao Seriously though, I'm just curious :) Also holyy crap I'm re-reading SFS and just wow...you're seriously talented. Thank you for writing!

I have such a thing for Northern!Jean you have no idea. Like, I don’t even know where this love CAME FROM… but SFSJean is the first one that is EXPLICITLY Northern. I think it’s because a lot of the Northern people I know are very blunt and no-nonsense: they don’t bother with formalities, and they let you know if you’ve pissed them off. I respect that in people. Also I had a Geordie housemate who was one of the most terrifying and yet wonderful people I met at uni so :’D I just *clenches fist* love the North

In terms of where exactly he comes from, it’s a mix. The accent he has in my head is based on a uni friend of mine who came from a little town just outside Cheshire- and he has the deepest, most Northern accent imaginable- and Lancashire- again, someone I used to know had the accent and I fell in love a little with the voice.
