Leave It At The Door, CH1: Teasing
Realized I hadn't posted this bit of sfSWTOR fic and it's finished! Set prior to Between Lovers because what is linear writing? Umbral is still a Sith Lord here; Wolf has been a Cipher Agent as long as they've known each other.
SUM: Lord Umbral comes home from an infuriating day’s work. Leave it up to Wolf to turn his day around
TAGS: m!snz; inducing, some pre-agreed on BDSM vibes; early in an established relationship
It had been an extraordinary day in the worst way and Umbral was ready to wash his hands of it. Why could he not simply be left to his books and relics, or if he must be bothered, some job for Darth Killia that actually used his skill set? Weren’t Sith Lords supposed to be largely independent? Clearly he’d given off the wrong impressions to the wrong people.
If one more Imperial told him what to do, he was going to take someone’s head off, literally.
“I can always tell it’s been a day when I can hear you walk,” Wolf said, currently stretched out on his couch with a datapad. When they finally met eyes, whatever Wolf read in his gaze had him turning the datapad off and putting it aside as he got to his feet. His smile was sympathetic. “So what’s the kill count?”
“Five less than it should be,” Umbral growled, and pulled him in for a searing, claiming kiss. He felt strong arms wind around his waist, alternate to the way he’d wrapped his around his Wolf’s broad shoulders, gloved fingers deftly removing his hair tie and tangling in loose black strands as soon as they were available.
“You poor thing,” Wolf breathed, taking in several deep breaths to reestablish equilibrium.
Umbral was having none of that, and kissed him again, backing him up against a wall and pressing flush to him from chest to groin. When they parted again and Wolf was truly breathless, Umbral chuckled darkly and rested their foreheads together. “That’s it.”
Wolf chuckled breathlessly. “Missed me, did you?”
“Oh yes,” he said honestly. “You’d never have allowed such infuriating nonsense to waste my time.”
Wolf’s hands — bare, he’d stripped out of most of his uniform, no doubt hung somewhere it wouldn’t get mussed — reached up and got a loose grip on Umbral’s long hair, insisting he stay put before he could pull away. “Leave it at the door.”
Umbral arched a brow. “Just like that.”
“Just like that,” Wolf agreed. “Come on. Where’s your composure?”
i see that you're into prequel-era star wars! what are your fetish headcanons for qui-gon?
I aaaam. And that man is at least 50% why. (Can’t ignore Obi-Wan either, though, love that sassy Jedi.)
Okay so HMM... SF headcanons for Qui...
fantastic caretaker but the absolute worst patient ever
broke his nose when he was fairly young, and it’s been sensitive ever since; if he has a stuck sneeze, rubbing along a certain point of the bridge will set it off
because of the sensitivity at his bridge, he tends to rub right above the tip/along the bottom if he’s trying to calm a tickle down
has teas for everything; including specific illness or allergies
on the note of allergies, he’s good with nature (maybe too good, to ask Obi-Wan) but synthetic things? not so much. Fake flowers with synthesized scents make him twitchy and ticklish.
is definitely the sort who could carry around a bit of a tickle all day, maybe with an occasional sniffle or nose rub, without ever getting to an actual sneeze
has a longish, hitching buildups to cold sneezes, which tend to get a heavier, more emphatic sound depending on how long he’s been sick and come one or two at a time. They really don’t stifle well at all after the first day or two with a cold, but not for lack of trying.
on the flip side, something just from being over sensitized or allergic gets quick, dry, fittish reactions so yeah, if someone pays attention it’s obvious which one is which
prefers handkerchiefs over tissues and tends to have one on his person despite not being particularly sneezy himself
Probably more, but it’s been a long time since I’ve written him. XD Some things you just don’t forget, though.
PLS DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND THAT NEW GAGA INTERVIEW?!
SPARCool screencast
Here is a screencast I've just made about SPARCool for tomorrow's SFSW Challenge, as I'm unfortunately not in ESWC this year. The list of challenge submissions and related papers is online and here's the SPARCool one.
