There is a Technology Giant that has fallen asleep on Wall Street & I’m here to Wake it Up! However, like most great feats, this #WallStreet Awakening requires the strategic planning & assistance of experienced People with Companies & Corporations Equipped to handle the task. In this particular situation, Time is of the Essence, & I believe that one of the only entities with the ability to see this aforementioned “Giant” both for what it is & what it can be is America’s Leading Authority of Business & Stock News: CNBC. I learned the who’s who & what’s what; the terminology, personalities, attitudes, & traits that make up the busiest street in the world from 9-5 pm & the place where Business gets done!~WallStreet! This is why I am coming to CNBC for advice & hopefully its assistance in educating with communication the situation that stands in the way of both cultures coming together and making decisions that will result in a better tomorrow for All!
Before the age of laptops & other technological advancements in sound equipment, the music was created with 2 turntables & a microphone. Back then, it was called “Techno,” & “Raves” were the concerts/ festivals where we went to hear it. The Techno Artists of the time were not only known for their ability to mix & mash-up records & sounds, but also in their ability to find the hidden, unheard, never-before released “hidden gems” of music. The digital music movement began during this time period, & though the same problems that plagued it back then are what complicate it today, it did play a big part in the migration of the Rave DJ into the EDM DJ/Producer. The Artists in the EDM World no longer have to haul around a big bag of records & purchase $6k worth of equipment in order to mix, mash, & edit new music. Now, they have access to technology & software that can digitally mix, mash, & edit their tracks, along with countless other features that allow the artist to reach their full creative potential in creating new music. Imagine being born with the ability to play any instrument in the world. Now imagine being given access to technology that would allow you to mix, mash, & edit your sounds with digital variations of sounds from all over the world – you literally have the means to create your very own sound at your fingertips! This type of technology is what changed the music industry, along with the ability for artists from all over the world to communicate & collaborate with sharing technology. To me, this video explains the New World of Music in just 30 seconds: http://youtu.be/N28zv5lx3cA
EDM isn’t just about the artists. In fact, the growing population of EDM-enthusiasts in all corners of the world is one of the key factors that make this industry so unique. Some of the same communication, networking, & sharing technology that transformed the DJ have also launched the EDM industry into a diverse, international culture. I believe that dance music is on the fast-track to becoming the biggest Musical Movement of all time. This is why:
1. Communication Technology: Easy to Communicate, Share new music, collaborate to produce new music & distribute music.
2. Beatlingual: (A Word I Submitted to Urban Dictionary!); Definition-When the beat of a song speaks a universal language that audiences across the globe can understand or when the beat speaks louder than words.
Example sentence: Armin & Hardwell’s new track, “Off the Hook,” is 100% beatlingual; there aren’t any vocals, but the beat & the songs Energy can inspire everyone.
3. Entertainment & Energy: With the technology used to produce EDM, artists are able to play whatever they want at a live show. Depending on the crowd, artists can gauge what to play & how. Good DJs are interactive with their audiences, & most shows have performers, dancers, special lights, & lasers. The biggest difference of all is the Energy. Feel the Music, Feel the Vibe, Feel Alive!!
4. Unity: It’s what TomorrowWorld & TomorrowLand are all about. This music is something that people from all over the World can Understand. We tear down the walls of diversity & stand together to Celebrate Life! It’s what it’s all about & where the Energy comes from that makes theses Events a few of the Largest & Fastest Growing of our time.
5. Opportunity: Still plenty of places to grow. New Talent joining-in and making the music better & the industry stronger. The next generation is coming up with a understanding & respect for the music. Its not uncommon to see headphones put in place to represent musicians along with a guitar or piano. A innovative new feature in the industry that will be available for TomorrowWorld this weekend and was 1st presented at TomorrowLand Festival-Belgium was Live Coverage broadcasted in HD through a new app called “NowLive,” reaching audiences from all over the world who couldn’t attend the actual festival for whatever reason are still able to take part & become part of the experience. This is important to me because over the years Sirius/XM radio broadcast all over the world from live EDM Festivals & events that allowed me to hear & take part in events In RealTime that helped me absorb a lot of the new trends & direction of this new industry. This also opens the doors to new ad revenue as well as attracting new fans that are not of age or may feel more comfortable to take part after watching a live event beforehand!
My goal is to See EDM Enjoyed and/or at least Understood by anyone & everyone willing to give it a listen; however, in order to reach this goal, I believe that it is crucial for the Major Players in the Business World, specifically Wall Street, to have a true understanding of EDM & so they can understand it is a very young industry that is making huge strides in overcoming many of the problems that have held it back from expressing its full potential. I do believe a lot of this was able to happen as a result of one of our industries leaders taking a chance & coming up from the underground to be a public company, doing business under our free market system. If nothing else it exposes EDM to a broader market that can attract young talent. 2 young artist that are making a big impact in our industry right now is Skrillex & 3lau. @Skrillex came from a band & is a gifted entertainer. Him & Diplo did a great interview with Charlie Rose on NPR that touched on this & 3lau is the artist on the piano in the 30 second clip & turned down a interview at Blackrock to pursue his career as a EDM artist.
Wall Street in many ways Has influenced the EDM industry in a positive way. The SFXEntertainment situation in my opinion could be a major set back but with or without Sillerman & SFXE controlling a large amount of the Whales in our industry the music will find its way & the Beat will thrive on.. I believe the company that trades under our Free Market system the Nasdaq parallels many of the same challenges & opportunities that the forefathers that put it in place once did. This is why the irony behind e_PLURibus_unum is one that reminds me why I personally grew to Love EDM as a Genre & Industry. I have learned that problems are not always the sign of something bad, in a recent quote from a brilliant young mind that reminds me how much times have changed he said “don’t get frustrated & concerned when harder challenges come your way but take it as a sign that you are coming to a point in the game where it’s time to prove your worth and take pride, your about to level up” I hope the miscommunication problems that I see internally & thru out WallStreet & Main Street are just another challenge to get EDM to the next level. CNBC is a business name I trust & one reason I start here to get help! In July of this year, CNBC International did an incredible story about one of dance music’s greatest festivals, TomorrowLand, titled “Electronic Music is Big Business:”

(Never Mentions $SFXE Stock & Company that recently Purchased ID&T the Owner of TomorrowLand & TomorrowWorld)
$SFXE is the NASDAQ-traded stock symbol and SFXEntertainment, the Parent Company of at least 15 EDM corporations located in 19 countries that spread across 4 different continents. One of the most notable of these companies is ID&T, the Promotion & Production Company that puts on TomorrowLand & TomorrowWorld, Sensation & The Oldest EDM Festival MysteryLand. None of this was mentioned in the video about TomorrowLand & EDM being “Big Business.” SFXE’s original business plan was only to take part & expand ID&T Events in North American. Once the decision was made to purchase ID&T it quickly became SFXE’s largest assets, which is why I felt that the omission of any mention of this company in the CNBC video was such a major oversight. But, ID&T is just one part of the Big EDM Giant that is fast asleep on Wall Street. EDM is not an American-made Product; however, over the past 15 years, & especially in the last 5, America has Welcomed EDM with Open Arms, adding to it what we can, & putting the good-ole American Spin to it. As stated by Laid-Back Luke in the CNBC video, “We have come in at a good time & in a big way!”
After TomorrowLand, I really thought the company would use the momentum & energy from such an amazing festival to turn around the stock, but it has been silent. In fact, when the company initially went public, for the most part, there appeared to be a little bit of team spirit & a CEO that wanted to motivate the company to take on the World with EDM! However, that quickly faded & according to *GlassDoor job/company ratings, so did the employees’ morale! It is a Giant, many of these Large EDM companies pioneered this Business. Having to turn over control of your home grown business is not easy & especially to someone that does not know the business & is not a fan. These companies need to be given the ability to have enough controls & freedom to do what they do & what they Love! If you take a look at TomorrowLand & TomorrowWorld you will see the passion just from the amount of detail. The tickets are actually a bracket that fits into the theme (also the entire festival is operated with zero cash) the equipment on stage is all decorated & a customs pair of CDJs & mixer to tie into the rest. These production companies are artist themselves & they must be given the freedom to create & be inspired. I do think Sillerman somewhat recognized this & this is why the employees statements read the way they did. This is also why I think Google's Alphabet is something that could be applied to a new age & new generation of business. Be competitive yet still unite at the right time to better the company. At 1st I thought SFXE almost mad sense to be more of a EDM etf but I do see where it has been structures to operate like a Giant EDM Company; one that can compete against the other music company giants of our day as well as some of the big entertainment Industry giants. In recent months, some figures have emerged that display how lucrative TomorrowWorld & the EDM industry can be. According to Billboard’s report from the 2015 International Music Summit, the estimated net-worth of the EDM industry is $6.9 billion! Mark Cuban in recent months offered to invest 650k in e-mazing for just a 5% stake! (E-mazing is a growing gloving company & sub culture to spin off from the EDM industry.)
TomorrowWorld~USA: Atlanta, Georgia stats:
$94 Million Georgia Economy
$72 Million Directly into Atlanta
$4.7 Into Local Taxes of Georgia
This Upcoming Weekend is TomorrowWorld.
CNBC: King Melodia Welcomes You! A shot at redemption! This Weekend, September 25. 26. & 27, TomorrowWorld will be held in Atlanta, GA, USA. TomorrowLand celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2014 with a 2-weekend event that sold out. 360k people attended. The venue or music theme park can only hold 180k people. The City of Boom (this is actually the real name of the city in Belgium that hosts TomorrowLand) does not have the resources available for the event to grow. The original TomorrowLand Festival~Belgium sells out in just minutes & claims over a million people attempt to purchase tickets each year. The Opportunity for Atlanta & the USA to become the “New World Hub” for the People of Tomorrow is truly an Amazing Gift. There was an article posted by YourEDM that claimed that TomorrowLand~Belgium “has a larger variety of cultures attend than the Olympics!” Imagine the possibilities.
Just like #WallStreet, #EDMneverSleeps! It makes its World go ‘Round. It’s a Diverse New Giant that is trying to find its stride. Sillerman is brilliant for noticing this, but he is not brains behind it. As referenced in the email & the CNBC video, SFXE is made up of several industry Giants from all over the World. I believe that the right move is to place this Concept in the Safe & Nurturing atmosphere of our Free Market (the #Nasdaq). I’m afraid the miscommunication due to the fact that it is such a new, unique industry has led to a misunderstanding of its overall potential. The video is one of many major press outlets that did not get a chance to finish connecting the dots for their audience. #CNBC now has this opportunity. I realize $SFXE & EDM have hurdles to overcome as well. I have studied what I can of the information but feel limited in information, resources & experience. have tons of ideas & options but wanted to pass this on to some #WallStreet Experts @CNBC & the #EDMFamily to see if anyone else can see what I see. Several minds working together is what it will take to wake the WallStreet Giant. e_PLURibus_unum is what I call the strategy & AlphaBeat is my term for the theory that $SFXE needs to be restructured & I learned about this strategy from Google’s #Alphabet. Thanks for taking the time to Read & don’t forget to Join in Sept 25, 26, & 27th as the World Unites to Celebrate Life & Create a Better Place for the People of Tomorrow!
