The Duo (even if Swerve has never said it before, Tailgate knows that he appreciates him)
They look so yapper and listener coded in Shattered Glass..
HC!: He has this habit of staring at you awkwardly until you finally decide he can leave when you absolutely need him to TALK during mission briefings. Therefore, Rodimus decided it would be good idea to put him with a partner who actually TALKS and gives the reports instead of Swerve (Which, unfortunately for Rodimus, said partner ended up being Tailgate but still an improvement) Because, actually? Rodimus would much rather deal with the insane crap he knows Tailgate (the little menace he is) is gonna put on him on every report than deal with whatever the fuck is wrong with Swerve.
Swerve doesn't help himself either, since he also lowers the "opacity" of one side of his visor a bit to get them to dismissed him faster, because he knows that his right optic is kinda uncanny to other bots (except for Tailgate, much to his own surprise)
My SG universe is a mostly Sunbow-based universe where the two factions undergo a mass corruption/redemption arc after the events of the episode "Megatron's Master Plan" take a different turn. Swerve here, though mixed with the few Sunbow traits he has, is mostly based on IDW because it's his most well known personality and I think he's fun to write that way.
Putting this under a read more, cause it's a long one.
- The betrayal of humanity was a shock to the systems of many of the Autobots, but almost none were hit harder than Swerve.
- For most of his time on earth, he had become enamored with the human race and their culture. After millions of years of war, it had become an escapist paradise for his stress-addled spark.
- But the Great Betrayal meant that his escape had become a nightmare... And obviously, he didn't take it very well.
- Appearance-wise, he matches how he looked in the SG FunPub comics, but with the green visor switched out for a red one.
- If the Lost Light existed in this universe, he wouldn't run a bar, but a casino-in fact, this Swerve is a full-blown teetotaler.
- Swerve has given up driving almost entirely, preferring to go after targets in his robot mode, though he's a far better driver than he used to be.
- He also mostly stopped speaking after the Great Betrayal, aside from the occasional laugh, growl or "hmph." In his optics, why should he bother talking if no one is going to listen?
- Once in a blue moon, however, he'll break his vow of silence to sing, which he's actually quite good at.
- The irrevent selfishness he shows at points in IDW is much more blatant here- he's pickpocketed almost every other member of his team at least once, and is involved in all kinds of sketchy dealings behind the Autobot's backs.
- His primary weapon is a tricked-out homebrew sniper rifle that he's named "Your Last Sight" (how he carries it, despite it being twice his size, is a riddle for the ages), and though he prefers taking out his oppents from afar, he does carry a bayonet for close combat.
- He's mostly abandoned human culture too, but he does have a secret love for old-school horror films and pulpy sci-fi novels.
OMG OMG HEADCANONS ON SG! SWERVE WITH A SG!CON! S/O PLSSSS
this seems like such a cool prompt but I had nO IDEA how to write this apologies if it sucks
also had no idea how to title this does it look like nonsense or does it make sense
For those that don't know, SG stands for shattered glass btw :)
MTMTE SG!Swerve with a SG!Con!S/O
First of all the concept of SG! Swerve is so interesting to me,,, in contrast to his usual self he's a less sociable, bitter, and far more aggressive bot. I think in this AU he struggles to talk, like literally doesn't know how. Also one of the best sharpshooters lolol
and con!s/o...opposites attract sometimes
It's a surprise you somehow got him to talk to you in the first place, he doesn't even talk to the autobots man. You had the patience to talk and talk while being aware he was listening, despite his lack of input or dialogue
that's kinda how your relationship is, really. He's more of a listener. Although, as your relationship progresses he does begin to talk more....only to you tbh
You stop him from being so impulsive, and he protects you with his life. In this AU he may not be the most affectionate or verbal, but love language is probably acts of service? If he knows someone dangerous may spot you two, he always goes out first, blaster in servo and ready to shoot
you've got quite the dangerous conjunx though, with his sharpshooting skills and dedication to you, he'll take down anyone. Other Cons that find out do not approve whatsoever but are too scared to take action :/ same thing with bots of his faction
More about his love language...he tries to help you if you get injured, always stands up for you at all costs, if you mention you don't like someone he WILL pull out his blaster too. Hearing his voice is something kinda special, ask him to just talk and he will. He'll start telling you one of his many stories (which you're probably the first one to hear them) as he caresses your servos. His voice gets especially hushed and soft in these moments
“It’s just Swerve, the bar, and myself — forever!”

[ID: A traditionally drawing of Shattered Glass Blurr, leaning on Swerve. Blurr is smirking, one hand waving outwards, while Swerve is frowning, holding a wide gun in two hands. They are colored in ballpoint pen. /end ID]
I imagine SG Swerve as still not very liked but the opposite reason. He is a very boring person who puts people to sleep lisening to him. His voice sounds like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_teXDolUPU
If there’s a mags, is there an sg swerve? What is he like?
There is! He appears canonically!
There is not so much lore on him, so I’ll share my own interpretation:
Essentially, he is one of the best sharpshooters the Autobots have — a bit famous for that too. While he’s proud of what he’s managed to accomplish, time in the limelight just isn’t his thing. He’s very quiet and serious… Part of him wants to go back to pre-war life we’re he was a simple metallurgist. Part of him knows he just can’t.
