Oh! I forgot, SG Getaway had a background role in my um. Thunderclash / Rodimus fic. 🫣
THUNDERCLASH?
THUNDERCLASH!
[ID: Two images. The first image is compilation of rectangular comic panels of Thunderclash, isolated on a white background. They are mostly images of his face. In the middle of the image, there is a blank space, in which there are two speech bubbles, both in bold red text. They say “Thunderclash?” And “Thunderclash!” The second image has the same layout as the first, but has Thunderclash edited in his Shattered Glass color scheme, dark greys and a small amount of purple accents. /end ID]
[ID: Two digitally drawn images. The first image is of SG Thunderclash next to SG Rodimus, leaning an arm on the smaller bot’s head. Thunderclash is looking down at the viewer with displeased expression, while Rodimus is smirking. Both of them are wearing short-shorts — Thunderclash’s being a light blue and Rodimus’ being a bright purple with a mustache keychain handing off it. The second image shows a back view of the pair. The profile view of Rodimus’ helm can be seen and he is cackling. Thunderclash’s expression is obscured by his back kibble, but his eye can be seen. The backs of their shorts have text on them, Rodimus’ saying, “NASTY” and Thunderclash’s saying, “IDIOT.” /end ID]
Who’s that dark mech there? He hasn’t said a word.
That? That’s THUNDERCLASH.
[ID: A digital full-body drawing of Shattered Glass Thunderclash, who has the same frame as his original-universe counterpart. He is faced at a three-fourths angle, fists at his sides. He is colored in dark shades of purple-greys and grey-blues. His chest-plating has a purple heart and a glowing purple lightning-like pattern across it. His eyes are an icy blue, and he has scars across his lips. On his right arm, he has a dark fusion cannon. On the bottom right is a reference of his mouth, showing his row of fangs, lip scarring, and segmented, glowing tongue. /end ID]

SG Rodiclash be upon ye!
Rodimus sat on that monster of a mech’s lap like he owned it. It was like he was surrounded by a swath of shadows. It would’ve been the same with most large Autobots actually, with how popular the color black was in their color schemes. But with Thunderclash, it was different. It was damn different.
The mech practically was the embodiment of a shadow, not only in his appearance, but his disposition too. He didn’t involve himself in the matters of any other mecha. ‘Clash was always at a disconnect from others. If he did speak to others though, it was to cast their views through a different lens — most often a darker, more dreary sort. If bots didn’t already hate him for his detached and dull nature, they would really want to kill him shooting down their hopeful bullshit.
But Rodimus wouldn’t allow that. He wouldn’t let anyone pull a gun or knife on Thunderclash without consequences.
Some various and horrific doodlies.
Got anything to say about SG!Thunderclash from your Au?
SG Thunderclash is a very interesting character!
In my AU, he isn’t anything like his bright and brave counterpart— he is very quiet and to-himself. He rarely gets involved with the matters of other mecha, only really giving cynical and negative input. He has no outstanding achievements to boast. No skills that he puts to use for the betterment of the Autobots.
There’s rumor that he and Ratchet used to be friends, until the medic bot experimented on ‘Clash, but that’s just word of mouth ( ;^) ).
To many, he’s just a negative nobody. In fact, a good amount of bots think he’d be better off dead.
Well, there’s a big exception— Rodimus thinks that he sees beyond Thunderclash’s bland exterior. Rodimus sees that this mech— the mech that everyone hates— and wonders about him. How has he not gotten killed yet, if he’s got *so* little to offer the Autobot cause? It’s a matter of intrigue for Rodimus. A matter of intrigue.
