Heya. You wrote in that tag that you weren't sure what asexuality had to do with the sensory processing post, so I wanted to let you know it's because most people feel a physical craving for sex in a similar manner to being hungry or tired. It's possible to enjoy sex and/or desire it on a conceptual level without that physical attraction, but there's definitely a physical component to it for most people.
Asexuality is totally distinct from libido/sex drive. It’s not just possible for us to have a libido, I think it’s fairly common and isn’t a part of the identity. A lack of libido/sex drive while still experiencing attraction is a hyposexual disorder and has nothing to do with asexuality.
