4 new-ish shadow- terms
[pt: 4 new-ish shadow- terms end pt]
We've been using these for ourselves for a few weeks, but never formally made coining posts for them.
Introducing:
Shadowgai!
Shadowgai, also called shadowunstrayt, is an orientation where one experiences gay attraction in a uniquely non-binary way. However, while one technically is non-binary, one does not identify as non-binary for any reason.
This flag is inspired by Tumblr user opalescentorbisian's gai flag.

Shadowstrayt!
Shadowstrayt, also called shadowgain’t, is an orientation where one experiences straight attraction in a uniquely non-binary way. However, while one technically is non-binary, one does not identify as non-binary for any reason.
This flag is inspired by Tumblr user nblw-nonsense's strayt flag.

Shadowgaistrayt!
Shadowgaistrayt is an orientation where one experiences both gay and straight attraction in a uniquely non-binary way. This can be simultaneous or not. However, while one technically is non-binary, one does not identify as non-binary for any reason. This flag is inspired by (what we think is) Tumblr user a1ly's gai-strayt flag. Unfortunately, that flag's coining post no longer exists. It was not archived.

Shadowsgait!
Shadowsgait is an orientation where one simultaneously experiences both gay and straight attraction in a uniquely non-binary way. However, while one technically is non-binary, one does not identify as non-binary for any reason.
This flag inspired by Tumblr user Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags's sgait flag.

Possible reasons why someone might use these terms:
being multigender, where one or more of the genders one experiences is/are binary
being genderfluid, genderflux, or genderfluix and sometimes being a binary gender
one’s gender is almost binary to the point where one does not feel non-binary
one feels dysphoric about being called non-binary
having a binary gender, but having a non-binary gender alignment (e.g. being male and xingender)
being mid-binary
being cassgender or gender apathetic
feeling partially or fully disconnected from one’s gender
fluid/fluctuating label preferences
(this is a non-exhaustive list)
