— * head in the clouds

     hansung would rate this particular club a solid seven out of ten. it's not the best club he's been to, but it certainly is not terrible. perhaps he’s a little too picky in regards to this, but it’s going on close to two hours since he’s arrived, and the dj has only played one red velvet song in his mix, and even then it was only the chorus, so despite the lively atmosphere and nice decor that the club has, he did have to dock a few points off his rating. maybe he can charm his way to the dj later and make some recommendations.his favorite group has the best, most varied, discography out of all idol groups today, so he knows that whatever mix the dj is playing, there are multiple songs that would fit right now.

     still he finds himself standing on top of a table, moving his body to the pounding bass of the music. he’s by no means drunk or high, but even without the influence of substances, he knows how to enjoy himself. so yes, he’s completely sober. how he finds himself on the table is a funny story actually, or at least it is to him. a joking challenge from his best friend who, if hansung has to be honest, surprised him when he said the younger would be too chicken to climb up on top of the table and make a food out of himself. well, jokes on baekso, or maybe even jokes on him, hansung has no shame.

    but being the ever so observant seok hansung, he did notice the younger blonde standing off to the side. she’s been there the entire night, and he’s surprised she hasn’t left out of boredom. he knows her, being that his best friend is her cousin, but that doesn’t mean that they’ve talked. in fact, he’s pretty sure all they’ve ever done is exchange hellos. perhaps it’s because of the influence of the music, but he finds himself climbing down off of the table and making his way to the younger female. it’s a saturday night; she shouldn’t be moping to herself in the club. since she’s already here, she should make the most out of it. “hey! son jinah!” (@sgnjinah​) he shouts once he’s by her side. they might be standing next to each other but the music is rather loud. “ stop talking to the wall and come dance with the rest of us.”

it had seemed like a good idea at the time.

the idea of running her palms over the soft hair of a bunny rabbit or the long locks of a horse’s mane seemed simple at the time, enjoyable and perhaps even comforting. she’d never seen animals like these up close before, much more used to the domesticated cats and dogs and the occasional squirrel that ran across the campus lawn. naturally, the first person to come to mind when doing activities like these that seem so soft and pure is her best friend jinah. she seemed so fitting, like a regular snow white.

she’d been excited on the way there, but as they began to get closer and the smell began to get more and more pungent, an unfamiliar feeling began to build in the pit of her stomach, begging her to turn back. of course, she couldn’t just do that, not with jinah right there with her, expecting her to tough it out like a champ, so she wills herself forward, even as she’s lead toward one of the pens where a baby goat stands waiting to be pet.

she grimaces for a brief moment, but changes her expression quickly when she makes eye contact with jinah, forcing a smile onto her lips. “hey, isn’t it cute?” she asks, putting on a front as she reaches out with slightly trembling hands. but just as soon as she’s almost touched it, the goat lifts its head just slightly, scaring her simply because it had been so unexpected. she lets out a high-pitched squeal, immediately retracting her hand and grabbing onto jinah’s arm. “uh, why don’t you go first? i think it likes you better.”

junhyung is not a morning person. you’d hardly ever find him wide awake in the early hours of the day but there’s something about being here at starlight resort, away from the city and surrounded by nature that is getting him out of bed early, even after all the drinking he did last night. he throws on a thin jacket as he quietly slips out of his tent, inhaling deeply as soon as he was outside. the crisp and fresh morning air was refreshing and enlivening, so much so that even someone like him, who could easily sleep in past lunch time, felt like he made the right decision to wake up early. 

he stretches lightly, enjoying the morning breeze, noticing someone leave her tent from the corner of his eye. he turns and focuses his gaze on her, jogging up to her as soon as he recognises her. “morning!” he grins, stopping right in front of her. “haven’t heard from you since dinner that day. how did you do for your project?” he questions, recalling their previous encounter. “it’s not my fault if you didn’t get an A though.” he banters with a playful crinkle in his eyes, “I’m pretty sure my photos are worthy of an A.”
