Donation #40. 2nd for 2019 is done. . I played safe by asking to do Hb test first before Medical Screening by Medical Officer; to ensure my iron level was within the level. . 1 of the nurse, Nyo Nyo Tun; came to Registration counter and immediately joked, "How much your level today?" Coz she knows sometimes I'm not able to proceed with donation coz of low Hb levels.. i answered, " Not sure. Register 1st then I'll do blood test before Medical screen by Doctor". She laughed and said must be positive.. Luckily it's at 14.1g/dL.. . I went to Donation Lounge:- She saw me and again teased, " Aahh.. today don't need U-turn go back. What you do that iron enough?" I said today over the required coz I'm at 14.1g/dL - 10points above 13g/dL required for Male donors. 😁😁😁. . During donation preparation cleansing of cannulation site; nurse handed a box of iron tablets saying my level is on point but gotta go up more for future Donations. . After donation as usual I'd ask for squeeze ball so I can scribe the date at back of it. And since its leading up to Singapore 54th Birthday:- donors are given Ez-Link cards. Yay!!
