Four animals arrive on an island, looking for a better future. The problem is— they don’t seem to be able to get along? A human comes along, threatening their safety. What will happen in the end? Will the four animals be able to put their differences aside to achieve a common goal? There is also something amusingly human about how we treat the people dearest to us. We can spend hours talking, laughing, interrupting one another, catching up on years compressed into an evening — and still forget to take a photo. We remember to photograph food, desserts, shoes, sunsets, and occasionally our own faces from suspiciously flattering angles. But the people who matter most? Somehow we forget. Perhaps that is because when we are truly present, documentation becomes secondary. We are too busy living the moment to archive it. Too engaged in laughter to arrange ourselves into rows. Too occupied with real connection to say, “Wait, everyone freeze and look natural.” Still, I am grateful that just before the last group of guests left, I managed to capture one photo. One frame. One small evidence that on this particular night, these people were here, healthy, laughing, alive, together. Years from now, when memory softens at the edges, that photograph will remain firm. During class I always tell me students to push themselves and see how far they can go. I also told them to never be afraid to fail and just laugh at themselves. Of course as a trainer, I would also have to walk that talk. On Saturday, 11th April, I went for a speech contest, not just an ordinary one. But one that requires me to think out of the box and think fast on my own two feet. Toastmasters call it the Table Topic contest. In layman term, it is an improvised speech that is of 2 minutes long. And, as god’s willing, I emerged as Champion on Division level. I will be representing Division J in the upcoming district level competition. http://dlvr.it/TS06hJ
