That text post made me think about SH world... I imagine T is grumpy about that situation and C is trying to cheer her up. Just like she did in Thanksgiving... Am I right?

T is definitely more restless about the current state in SH, yeah! C is doing a good job of making sure that they still get outdoors safely. The weather in Chicago has been nice most days too, so that helps.

She made T order that new action lens she’s been wanting, so now they’ve been spending their days on walks outside, while T tries to capture the world around them in photographs. Birds flying from tree to tree, the lake ice melting slowly that seems unnoticeable at first glance, but when watched back on stop motion seems pretty grand; or Morena’s ears flopping as she jogs in open space. 

C drops T off at a spot, goes for a run with Morena, and then meets up with her again when she’s done, so they’re both getting enough fresh air. 

They’ve also been cooking a lot more, which has been a great thing for their relationship. They’re finding ways to work together and even though it’s always felt seamless to them, they’re growing their partnership from it. So in sync, always. 

They’re also having a lot of sex. Which T is certainly not complaining about.

Ok ya know when Alec hugs Clary after she confesses about bringing Jace back with Raziels wish & he says “I would have done the same thing.”

He’s saying that he’d do the same thing for Jace right? Like he would have also asked Raziel to bring Jace back?

Cuz I’ve seen someone people say that he meant he’d do the same thing had it been Magnus (because of the look Magnus gives them) but idk...I’m not convinced.

I’m pretty sure he meant he’d ask to have Jace brought back...

Any thoughts?

Since you evaded the malec magic question so well, I’m wondering what’s your opinion on people saying the show copped out on intimacy in 3x2?

The thing about it is, there was a lot of intimacy here? Soft and affirming touches, easy laughter, playful banter, and most of all, full on support (the majority of which, was super funny and sassy, but a lot of it was also bad ass and sweet).In many ways, this episode showed us the result of putting work into yourself and your relationship. Malec was a united front in literally every sense of the word. Alec was emotionally supporting Magnus from the opening scene – attending a party that was going to be filled with people who didn’t like him just so Magnus wouldn’t need to go alone, grounding Magnus when Lorenzo called him out, verbally validating Magnus as he vented, and most importantly, understanding and working with Magnus’ vulnerability to reaffirm his worth, making sure to separate Magnus from everything that makes him feel that he’s unlovable – to the very end.On top of that, we saw how easy and comfortable Magnus and Alec are together? Like, all the soft and domestic shit people crave in fics was literally playing out in front of them. It just didn’t get to chapter six when things get steamy. And I’m fine with that. Because everything felt very in-line with what was happening and the emotions both Alec and Magnus were feeling. I’m really not sure how people can watch this episode and not think it was golden. I’m still not over Alec’s dumb smile and the incredulous look on Magnus’ face when Alec playfully takes the credit for fixing the ley lines. But to each their own.They’ve been through so much to get here, but they’re here and they’re happy, and that makes me happy. Was the final kiss ‘melt into you’ passionate? No, but it was tender and sweet, and above all, it was a validation that they love each other, the good and the bad included, wholly and completely. And to me, that’s enough.

How was it for them after they got officially together in SH? Did they ever got jealous before or after if they were out at a bar and someone hit on one of them or something like that? I’ve been rereading and those two stories are soo good 🙌

Mannnnn I’ve been having some SH feels the past few days too. It might be time to revisit.

They were pretty chill about all that stuff. Just with the way they both are, confident and maybe a little cocky about themselves, they mostly always just found it amusing.

Both know that they don’t want anyone else and they trust each other, so if they got hit on, the other one would usually just make fun of them for it. Like “oh okay, look out.. everyone wants you… luckily you’re stuck with me.”

They have always had a very playful relationship like that, but when it comes down to it, they’re also very sweet with each other.

It really bothers me when “fans” complain about a lack of intimacy with Magnus and Alec. The writers are constantly showing us how, why and when they fell for each other instead of telling us unlike the writing for Clace. If this was a queerbaited, white “couple” who had the same story arc or similar in episode 3x02 people would bend over backwards for head-cannon and fanfic. The behavior is transparent. I’m tired of racist and homophobic fans being against one of few healthy couples we have.

Don’t get me wrong the show runners have made bad judgement calls with Clace, Isabelle but Malec isn’t one of them. The reason I think Clace doesn’t work for me is because they are trying to make them into something they aren’t with the “I love you” scene back in season 2. Clace barely know each and had little development romantically since they were falsely outed as sisters and brothers. The sad part is we have Saia is also healthy but is disrespected by racist Sizzy stans and even Todd and co.

Malec is always going to be held to higher standards because they’re interracial and people are shitty. Their entire buildup has been beautiful, from those first tentative smiles, to Alec being completely at ease, playfully asking Magnus to brew him up some shampoo.

They fought to get to this point and every step forward has always felt like a validation (you’re worth this, I want this,  I’m going to invest whatever time and attention needed to make this work). And all that time and effort paid off. Because malec were so in-tune with each other and it showed. Every smile and incredulous look, every pat on the shoulder and well timed eye roll, they were a unit, and that all comes from a place of understanding and comfort and support.

So, it’s frustrating then, for people to watch these interactions and say they don’t see anything other than malec acting as friends, when yes, replace them with two white men and fandom would be screaming about subtext. Obviously, not everyone who wanted a little more physical intimacy falls into that camp, and they have a right to want different things from the episode and show, I just think everyone needs to be mindful when they discuss the topic.  

I don’t feel comfortable discussing Clace per say, but even the way some actors discuss the two relationship is also rather telling of the double standard that Malec sometimes has to face.

Is it too much to hope for more casual glances of Catarina??

I’m loving how seamlessly she’s tying into the season. So long as warlock politics remain an integral role in the overall plot, I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing her popping up throughout the season.

I’d do anything to see her in the hospital again. Watching as she adapts her powers to a mundane profession while also blending in with the regular people that work with her. Imagine her taking a break in the cafeteria, telling Madzie that she loves her before signing off of face time only to be approached by another nurse. She’s a new hire, still nervous, and unsure if she can sit down. ‘Your daughter?’ She asks and Catarina simply smiles, wide and genuine, because Madzie is, wholly and completely, isn’t she? So she responds, ‘yes.’ And the two start a conversation about their children.

Someone asks her what she does to relax and shake off everything she sees while at work, and she thinks back to Sunday, bringing Madzie to a dress shop in Paris, getting ice cream in Rome, and she just shrugs, and says netflix and a hot pack.

Walking down the hall to hear two fellow nurses complain about being exhausted after pulling a double. And she gets it, she was right there with them, but she also helped stop the end of the world. Even still, she walks up to them, complaining about her feet, and convincing them to go out for a drink before they head home.

Fuck, now I kind of want a whole episode where we just follow Catarina around.

Please never stop writing Magnus. It always leaves me breathless. I’m so happy I stumbled upon your stories. They’re beautiful.

Akxjw! Let me tell you, all it takes is one compliment to keep me going, so thank you! Magnus is such a wonderful character to explore because there’s just so much there to explore. You can get lost in him.
