As Stiles takes a deep breath and walks away from the door, each step making Derek's ribcage rattle with a sense of dread he'd rather not think about, Derek tells himself that this is what he wants. For Stiles to be away from him. For him to stay away from Stiles.

More than one line happened :P

This is the last thing I wrote for part 2 of my latest series, following this fic of mine - Early Morning 'Like' Confessions. The WIP is set a few years after the first part took place, and is definitely more angsty. But it has a happy ending, don't worry!

Currently Untitled WIP

Derek watches Stiles make a deal with a demon — Give your most precious thing to me — and watches as Stiles changes afterwards, how he acts differently towards Derek. And he isn't stupid, he isn't the beast everyone thinks him to be; he realizes with abruptness that he was somehow part of that deal, too.

And now he isn't part of the small circle of people Stiles cares about.

Will his and Stiles' relationship survive the demon's deal?
