Wishing you all a wonderful 2026!
Hollis Abernathy is one of Johnny and Paul's new neighbors. I'm looking forward to showing more of her backstory! She's a character I created in Sims 3 that I decided to bring back. She may end up being pretty important...well see how things pan out.

Just a little bonus from yesterday's post. After I finished taking all of the screenshots, Chelsea changed into her bathing suit and started heading to the river (the lot is actually in Henford-on-Bagley).
It took her 6 Sim hours and her needs were all in the yellow/red by the time she got there. She splashed for around 30 minutes, then got out to ask Johnny to read to her.
Finding Hollis #1
Hollis arrived in Selvadorada in the evening, still unsure of what her goal was in traveling there. All she knew was she had to get away, and away happened to be Selvadorada--for now. Between the sweltering heat and the pesky stinging bugs, she wasn't sure what she'd gotten herself into. She was too tired to do much other than unpack that night. Hollis hoped the next day would bring some clarity.

Finding Hollis #7
Hollis was relieved to find that the person on the other side of the door was exactly who she was expecting. She recognized her grandmother from her mom's old photos, but they had never met. She wasn't sure how her grandmother would react to her showing up unannounced, but the older woman promptly embraced Hollis. Her grandmother, who insisted on being called Abuela, was delighted to see her. Though Hollis' mother had cut off contact with her after meeting Hollis' father, Abuela had always held out hope that the two would be reunited. She told Hollis that she had been keeping up with her and Glynnis for their whole lives, and she was very proud of them for trying to make it on their own. That was just what Hollis needed to hear. While they enjoyed the soup Abuela made for them, Hollis told her about the child she had placed for adoption and the conflicted emotions she was experiencing now that her decision to do so was made public. Abuela understood somewhat how she felt. Even though her own daughter was grown, she still worried about her. What helped her get through it was just trusting that her daughter would somehow find her way. Plus, she had the unique perspective of having a child who was in the public eye, which allowed her to keep tabs on her despite their distance. Hollis thought about her own daughter. Since the adoptive parents were soap opera actors, they were somewhat in the spotlight. They had talked about their daughter some in interviews, but they'd honored Hollis' request to keep the child out of the public eye. She knew her daughter would be safe with them. Abuela set up a cot in her utility room for Hollis to sleep on while she stayed. After settling in to the room, Hollis checked her phone for the first time since she'd been on her trip. She was relieved to see that the talk about her died down, and she also had a few kind messages from Glynnis, Johnny, and Paul. It felt good knowing her presence was missed.

Finding Hollis #6
Hollis woke up knowing that it would be the final day of her excursion in Sulani, but she wasn't ready to go home quite yet. She hoped she would figure out where she was supposed to be going by the end of the night. So far, she'd been operating on instinct. She knew there was a lesson to be learned somewhere, and she was relying on the universe to tell her what it was. That day she ended up in Mua Pel'am, an island in Sulani that was polluted from the effects of consumerism and tourism. There was currently a massive clean-up underway for the island, and Hollis felt that if she were partaking in the destruction of the islands, the least she could do was join in on the clean-up as well. She went fishing to help rid the waters of invasive species and cleaned up trash that had washed ashore. It felt good to be a part of something that positively affected the environment, and she was reminded once again that there was more to the world than the glitz and glamour of celebrity life. By the time Hollis returned to her rental and packed up her things, she knew exactly where she needed to go. She arrived to her final destination, Cuidad Enamorada, in search of a place she'd only seen in old pictures taken before she was even born. She wandered through the city until she found the building, now painted in bright yellow and green. Cautiously, she climbed the stairs and knocked on the door, hoping that the person she was looking for would still be there after all these years.
