Gideon walked into the Mystic Grill, heading straight for the bar. He settled next to another man that was sitting there, not exactly paying much attention to him. As the bartender walked up, he ordered the Mystic Burger and a beer. After they left, he glanced towards the TV where a game was being shown. “You watch this stuff?” Gideon asked while turning towards the man beside him. Although Gideon didn’t have much room to talk, having spent some time in sports himself.

             “I assume you have enjoyed your time here?”

Nathaniel, King of the Fae, some whispered people even call him the King of Pleasures, but that name is often forbidden. Having been a driving, supportive force in the war against Darkness, Nathaniel’s people were celebrating their victory for many days, many weeks. Constant festivities, magic flowing wildly and spirits high. 

  “Many of the King’s men surely have.” A wide, amused grin on his lips. Nothing gets past the Fae King, he knew the humans had sought Fae lovers and fae were so willingly taking part. 

  “What about you? Have you felt our magic?”

"i can help you find whatever it is that you seek.” people that liked discovering things just for the sake of it were right up his alley. not only did he know how to find certain items, but sometimes they were hiding right under his nose. “exploring and me kind of get together quite well. i’ve been doing it for a long time.” ronan got closer to hector, eyes narrowing in on the other and trying to come off as confident as ever. “if it’s a scroll, antique, prized gem, i’m in it for the long haul and you can reap the benefits. i just want the knowledge of these sort of things existing.”

How long has it been, a week? Two? A month? It’s hard to count days when you don’t sleep, and for Crowley, the mere closing of his eyes brought flashbacks of the War of the Thorns. The Elegy of Elune still echoed in the back of his head, almost pushing him to the edge of the Emerald Dream for safety— not because he was in direct danger, but to be safe of the ghosts that haunted him. Ethebas would often offer support and ask him to take some well-deserved rest, but the Guardian of G’hanir— a now withered, useless piece of wood— never listened.

“Are you here to give me a lecture?” Exhaustion was clear in his voice, in the tone of his every word and how he dragged and lengthened each syllable. Many had already tried to offer comfort for him— but they hadn’t been there. They hadn’t seen the flames or heard the screaming; they didn’t relive the mayhem every time they closed their eyes. “Unless you’re here to tell me we’re ready to march on the Undercity—” Words dragged again, this time slower, as the blond pinched the bridge of his nose in an effort to keep himself awake. Was he hallucinating or not? At this point he couldn’t tell. He often found himself catching glimpses of the Emerald Dream as if he was already sleeping, only to wake up to the same darker reality. “— then I’m not interested”.

“People don’t usually believe me when I tell them I’m dangerous,” Desmond warned with a warm voice, not truly doing anything to convey the idea that he was indeed a monster when he came across as a well-mannered kid. Alas, the darkness he held within was as real as the body count under his name.

“Between you and me, I ain’t go no desire to kill ye, or cross swords — at least not in the literal sense.” Wilfus inclined his head at the other, his sword currently still in his scabbard. He wasn’t the kind that killed first and asked questions never; which tend to lend him a curious sort of reputation on the open waters. Though if anyone did try to take advantage of it, they’ll soon learn he could be far more cruel and ruthless than they’d ever imagined. “Call me curious, but which noble did ye piss the fuck off that they’ll put that fucking large of a bounty on yer head?”
