I wanted to draw out a metaphorical concept where Shadow deeply cherishes Maria and reminisces the moments they shared as he creates a painted canvas of her, trying to hold onto any memories he last had with her, while the paint from behind him splatters against the wall to shape out his Doom Wings - so this came to mind!
