You are the one getting rather defensive over it, you know. How many times can you say platonic in one sentence? Not to mention that you were the one asking to begin with so I don't see how this makes me the nosey one.

Curiosity! You don’t ever feel like that, do ‘ya…?

I have felt like that once or twice.

I find crushes rather silly however, they don't compare to the feelings of true love in my opinion. Crushes come and go, but true love stays with you. And although it may not feel as intense as a crush does, love is more fulfilling in the long run where as a crush will loose it's intensity rather quickly.
