Long Post Incoming, but it's good :3
i am quite shocked and proud of myself for the work i put in yesterday
as someone who cannot for the life of them describe or write setting at all, I'm surprised I didn't do this earlier, I'm really bad at visualising things, but I have the idea in my head, I just need to get it down somehow
i spent three and a half hours in Minecraft creative mode of all things just building a mansion that my main character for my new novel idea lived in (before it was burnt down by a girl she meets later on in the book)
(the mansion is still a work in progress, but it helps quite a lot with how I personally want things to look like, also the new novel idea is set in Minecraft, so there will be Minecraft references in there in terms of buildings, weapons, lore and things and I am very excited about writing it)
then, in a book, I started writing down a general description of the house (since it currently has two floors), I made sure to describe everything I saw in the house including the materials used (and any mods I used for the build)
all this is to say that if you are stuck on coming up with settings for your works in progress then my advice would be to get Minecraft, create a creative and peaceful world save, and just start building whatever comes into your head :3
