Word: visions
Small paws on the windows, curious eyes peeking into a window. Their eyes met with a familiar set, similar to their own. A slight wag in their tail as they watched their father crouch low in the snow, paws bunched beneath his black pelt.
It was always this. Yua saw through this window each and every time, a watcher to the events unfolding before their eyes. They grew excited as they watched Papa slowly move through the white snow seamlessly. Yua always found it fun to watch. Both Mama and Papa had a way of moving through the environment a young pup like themselves could never pull off.
Coordinated, a team, they always dance to a tune Yua could always make out to be their own, a mated pair made for each other.
Their small face pressed close to the window as Papa approached the small mass in the snow, near a barren tree. He was almost there. Just a hairbreadth away-
A snap then the older Absol was suddenly in the air, dangling from a rope.
Angry snarls erupted from the Pokémon, swipes striking aimlessly, helplessly in the air.
“Papa!” Cried from the Yua. Angry paws slammed against the window. But it didn't bunch, unphased by the pup's attempts to breach the realm and reach their father.
They were helpless to watch a figure approach the anger beast. A glint in hand, sharp like Papa's horn.
“No!!!”
Yua shrilled, the young pup cries pierced through the window, the scene no more. It left behind only the small Yua curled tightly in a ball, shuddering against the cool cavern floor.
