It’s been such a weird few days. On Sunday at 12:15am, Logan and I got home after a day at his sister’s. We were extremely surprised to come home to our apartment flooded. Our toilet valve thing popped off in the tank (little white tube that makes an arch). Our bathroom had about two inches of water, which leaked into our storage room, main hallway, bedroom and hedgehog room. We vacuumed up probably four entire tub full of water. I currently have the hogs in small bins, which I hate, but we needed their main bins as storage temporarily, and I had to take them to a friend’s yesterday, and taking all big bins wasn’t an option. Tomorrow we find out what we are doing, whether they renovate around us (which I don’t think is safe—the carpets are still wet and surely the drywall is just soaking up the moisture), or move us to another unit. Please pray it’s the latter because I do not feel safe leaving the animals in that apartment right now. Even with how much we cleaned up, the place stinks, and our place is a disaster because along with the flood, we were also moving around our apartment because we got a new bed. Sigh.
