some vampire!epel and shadowhunter!riddle interactions
“Was Vil there when you….”
“Got turned?” Epel finished for him, chuckling slightly. “Nah, he found me a few hours after, when I was about to feed on some poor mundane.” Upon seeing the Shadowhunters' shock, he continued speaking. “The first 24 hours after crawling out of the grave are the roughest, ‘specially if you don’t have someone familiar there with you. I didn’t have anyone.” He shrugged lamely. “Don’t worry your little head, Rosehearts. I didn’t harm anyone.”
“But you could have,” Riddle hissed. “You could have killed innocent people!”
Epel’s look shifted, eyes slanting. He leaned in close to Riddle, grabbing his arm lightly and pulling him to a stop. “I suggest,” he began, an irritated huff in his voice, “that you put your so-called ‘teachings’ and ‘The Law’ behind you. Because otherwise, the next day is gonna be real rough for you, you hear me?” He let go, walking again. “Stupid children of the Angel, always thinking of themselves and no one else. When will they learn?” he grumbled to himself, just loud enough so that Riddle could hear from where he stood, feet frozen on the ground.
