YES. THIS.

I literally never thought I’d have to experience this almost exact same situation twice, and I bet you didn’t either.

It really makes me wonder if professional writers sit down and think about all of the consequences of various plot lines and then choose to dismiss concerns because  they think the audience will be so blindsided by their emotions they won’t care (and it’s almost worked like that for me both times!), OR, they’re thinking about everything other than all the consequences and don’t even notice. 

In this instance, though, there were a couple of really glaringly obvious avoidance tactics going on that I can’t help but think they knew there’d be at least some people who are raising an eyebrow at this choice.

I just love that I reliably can get on tumblr on Oscar night, and two of my mutuals will be just as obsessed with Oscar fashion (and a wide range of people wearing it) as I am. I heart you guys.
