Thank you ladies!!!! Unfortunately the day hasn’t really gotten better today was a bit of a highlight of what the next few weeks will be. At least I got a new water heater so I can go home to a bath and a glass of red.

4. What drinks do you have in the fridge right now?
Skim milk, iced coffee, and beer.
10. What is the last thing you’ve read?
In terms of books, Parable of the Talents. In terms of something other than the news, this not remotely uplifting but very interesting New Yorker article.
50. Tell me an interesting fact.
My family never ate fast food when I was growing up, so I couldn’t really relates to others’ disappointment, but McMillions$ on HBO (six-episode documentary series) was a great watch. I’m not big on true crime, but it was more of a competence porn thing—like an arc of White Collar, except with more of the non-FBI folks’ perspectives, and I don’t think even Neal Caffrey ever had as much fun as Special Agent Doug Mathews did with a case.
I’m not sure if that’s really a fact, but honestly my mind went kinda blank on...literally anything else to offer here.

When are you flying into my fair state?? What town will you be in??? I hope you have a good flight, we are up in the lakes region so I’m not sure how far away that is from where you will be
Awww, I’m going to be ocean side, right next to Maine. I’m really hoping to see the ghost of a woman who lost her husband at sea.
I’m currently looking at things to do in their city and boy do they like their local breweries. And as a person who can’t drink beer, this does nothing for me. Boo
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!
Thank you my dear!
Okay so now that you've mentioned it in your last answer, I'm curious about all of your thoughts on dating profiles
I think that the profile has to be appropriate for the forum. Tinder and Bumble can be similar, and I think that being funny in these two is really helpful for getting matches – also having a really interesting first picture, where you’re doing something interesting or fun or funny. My most recent photo is me and my best friend in what is clearly a gas station bathroom with me brushing my teeth. I was also a big fan of me getting ready for fisticuffs with a redcoat when we went to Lexington & Concord. It invites you to be like WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON I NEED TO KNOW MORE.You also have to be interesting in your profile. You can’t just say, “i’m into netflix and wine” because what person in your demographic *isn’t* into those things?
I usually have some variation on the fact that I’m a brunette Leslie Knope or something like my instagram bio: you have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of cheese fries, and then i put my interests in the form of emoji (currently: tv, baseball, pizza, american flag). With bumble I’m a little more honest? because the kind of guys that will go on bumble – where ladies have to message first – are more likely to be more okay with someone who’s emotionally in the place that I’m in. If that makes sense?
OKC is a little different. Your username has to be something memorable but also generic? You also don’t want it to be findable by using your last name, so DON’T DO THAT. Answer the questions to find someone, and BE HONEST. Profiles should be honest and non-generic. I think that’s most people’s problem when they don’t get matches: they’re generic. What about you is specific? For the longest time my OKC bio said, for occupation: “By day, friendly medical office manager. by night, (not-so) friendly wrigleyville waitress. By different time of night? No job. I do what I want.” Which is obviously a parks joke, but also intriguing because it’s not generic. With OKC, anyone can message you, so check out their profile and then feel free to use the block button liberally. When you get into paid sites, eHarmony/Match/Christian Mingle, things change. People are paying for this aren’t swiping when they poop – be honest, be yourself, but make sure you’re still being unique. Para exemplar (i restored my OKC profile so y’all could see this):
I think the most important thing to do with online dating is that if it’s on a mutual-match site or app, respond to every message. And read every message on something like OKC. The only exception is if it’s lewd and you’re not up for it. THEN USE THE REPORT/BLOCK BUTTONS. IT’S OKAY TO DO THAT I PROMISE.
