Do you guys see my vision
So you and randomfox say that people who like the Archie and IDW comics are fake fans and don't respect Sonic, but half the people who like the comics like it because it shows new adventures for Sonic and the gang. Sure the comics showcase a lot of ocs but if you really think about it, it's Sega’s fault for allowing it to happen. They chose to ask these comic companies to showcase their characters, and they chose to allow people the creative freedom that the writers got. You guys always blame the writers but give big praises to the company itself. Randomfox literally got upset because a character—Trip—that people knew anything about had a comic dedicated to her coming out of her shell.
How do you call yourself a good fan when you yell at anyone who enjoys something in a different aspect?
The fact that you just stated it was SEGA's fault for the ridiculous amount of OCs in both Archie and IDW, when really the call to make more comes from both Archie and IDW, showcases to me that you aren't really interested in anything but 'being right'.
The games showcase Sonic and the cast going on adventures just fine. Why do we need a comic that fails on the adventure aspect time and time again, reduces the Canon cast as cheerleaders for weak OCs that are puppeteered by the plot, and in a world without whimsy and fun? Plus, about Trip, Sonic Superstars had Trip coming out of her shell far better than the comic ever did. Didn't need no copy-paste of her tribe coming back when the games did just fine without them.
And the Writers of the Comic - Flynn and Stanley - gripe and groan at any given opportunity when they're not allowed to write OCs in the Canon character's skins. Even the slightest nudge of SEGA going 'hey, that's too many words for this character. Mind limiting the amount of words here?' In the most gentle manner causes Flynn to start steaming out his nostrils, and Stanley to slam her head into the desk in frustration that they can't put their OCs pretending to be the Canon Characters in. Stanley has been shown to bitch and moan about it on her Tumblr, while Flynn got so upset at the slightest amount of criticism, he bailed Twitter altogether and went to the echo chamber that is Bluesky. Even though Sonictwitter sucks his cock at every given opportunity.
Tell me again, anon. Why should I pretend to let people enjoy things, when I'm not allowed to enjoy Sonic like I want?
We haven’t interacted a lot but it would be really cool to see Shady Guy (from Sonic Legacy) in your style!
Hello!! Thank you! This was really fun tbh, I liked him a lot when I played :D
Hopefully I did his design justice! I bet he's yapping about some other crazy story-
