It had been a couple of weeks since Alec had gone missing but Shady was still as pissed as ever. The other dancers and club employees were walking on eggshells every day, even more so than usual, which had turned the energy of the club from bad to worse. The vampire was doing his usual routine of berating a dancer for something minor -- ‘misdirected rage’, a now-deceased individual had mistakenly decided to tell him -- when one of his men came up to him and told him they had a location.
The vampire wasted no time in rounding up his boys and getting them all ready for a fight. They jumped in their vans and trucks and headed over the bridge from South China Town to the derelict industrial district. When they pulled up out front the warehouse which had been identified as the ‘hide-out’ where they were keeping Alec, Shady grabbed his 24k gold-plated pistol fitted with ultraviolent and silver infused bullets and headed in alone.
“My, my, my,” he said as he entered the seedy warehouse where a few low-level gangbangers stood around. “What’ve we got ‘ere?”
Immediately, the men jumped at the familiar sound of Shady’s voice and simply readied their weapons and then froze. Just by that simple fact, Shady could tell they were all amateurs. Daft little fuckers who thought they could go out on their own. Big mistake.
“Boy’s, I’m disappointed,” he continued as he casually walked further toward where the men stood. Even though they had guns, Shady knew they were probably using knock-off ultraviolet bullets. The real stuff was manufactured in Shady’s workshops. “You take one of my boys, my PROPERTY, and then I don’t hear from you ?? No phone calls. No demands.”
Each time the vampire spoke he stepped closer to his enemies who looked as regretful and anxious as a bunch of insecure chihuahuas. One tried to flee when suddenly he was hit with a sniper bullet, exploding into dry, dark ash in seconds. The rest of them glanced around the warehouse in a panicked frenzy trying to find the sniper. Their faces dropped when they realized just how surrounded they were: snipers located everywhere, big men with machine guns and automatics hiding in the shadows, all ready to pounce if need be.
“What ?? Did things not go to plan ??” Shady could only assume Alec had been a good boy and not revealed any important details on his business dealings. After all, the men had done nothing since kidnapping the dancer. What could they do when their plan had failed? They most likely just sat around fighting with one another about how fucked they were.
When the chihuahuas refused to speak and just continued to stand there looking panicked and unsure of what to do next, Shady just rolled his eyes and sighed before speeding over to the one closest to him, punching his fist through his chest and ripping his heart out from inside his ribcage and throwing it to the ground. The body dropped instantly to the floor and before the others could shoot any bullets, they were taken out by a sniper or had their own hearts ripped out.
It was all over in a couple of seconds with each of the bodies now on the floor with their hearts lying next to them. Shady sighed again before one of his men came up to him with a handkerchief to clean his hands off. He really had hoped for some action. Cass was going to be disappointed he'd have no new playthings to torture, that was for sure.
With a quick hand motion directed at his men, they started searching the warehouse for Alec hastily. Not soon after one of them called out saying they’d found him. By the time Shady had sped to the back office where they had kept Alec chained up, he was already being freed and helped to his feet.
