I recently settled on writing two versions of the story, one with the dialogue completely in English and one where the dialogue reflects how they actually speak, creoles and conlangs included. It’s,,, honestly just an excuse to go absolutely wild on space communication. And some Force worldbuilding.

On my, like, tenth reread of our bodies safe to shore, I figured I should let you know how much I love it. I’m really grateful you wrote it, and it’s honestly become my comfort fic! There’s just something so nice about your writing style, and the whole idea that sometimes you just have to keep going even when it’s unpleasant is important. Obiwan having to leave his home and family, but still finding a new family that sticks with him, is really comforting to me. So, yeah! It’s one of my favorite stories, thanks for writing it!
