yeah, i believe most asexuals don't experience anywhere near as much oppression or such what not as other sexualities. most i've had to deal with is others complaining about it's name and how it's nonsexual not asexual, denial that it's an orientation, that you're either gay or straight, that i can't be in a relationship w/o expecting sex to be a factor and that if there isn't you're just friends, or that you just need the right person, it's a lil frustrating, but it's not that hard to deal with

yeah this is how i feel too, i mean it’s not like nothing bad ever happens to asexuals but the person saying they’re more worried about telling their family that they’re asexual than that they’re gay is just ridiculous
