people are confused by tariffs because the main stream media is filled with misinformation, like CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS
quickly, those outlets say tariffs are ultimately paid by american consumers. That is a flat out lie in some cases and and simply wrong in other cases.
If Trump puts tariffs on mexican imported goods, 3 things can happen
1. the importer can eat the tariff to stay competitive and the american consumer will not see any difference 2. the importer will raise his prices and competition will eat him up 3. american manufacturers will start popping up and american goods will be able to compete with the cheap mexican goods
