July 9, 1995. Soldier Field, Chicago. The Grateful Dead played their last-ever show, and nobody in the building knew it.

Then the encore: Black Muddy River, and Phil steps up for Box of Rain — the song he wrote for his dying father — as the final notes the band would ever play.
