Dang, no, you're right, I forgot the timeline. But really, it just seems so very forced. And I got the feeling like Iris was manipulating John into all of this? Making him trust her, talking about love, then suddenly going 'I can't see you anymore'?

That’s exactly how I feel too. I feel like John’s still emotionally reeling from Carter’s death, and Shaw’s death/disappearance has only made that worse, so he’s latching on to whatever emotional connections he has now, even if they’re misconstrued and extremely inappropriate. I think he doesn’t really know how to express the feelings he has for Iris, I mean, I’m sure he appreciates her and maybe has strong feelings for her, but they’re certainly not the in-love kind of feelings, because this is John Reese we’re talking about, he doesn’t love that easy

My sister and me have the theory that she's actually working for Dominic and is just trying to find as much as possible about John. Because there's got to be more to this, otherwise WHAT THE FUCK.

I’m hoping for this too, but I’m worried the timelines won’t work out because Dominic was introduced in 4.04 and I don’t remember him meeting Reese in that episode, and Iris was introduced in 4.05. So I guess it could happen? But it’s a pretty slim chance. Maybe I’m misremembering.
