January hasn't been a very kind month for them all, or just something about 2026, so much as happening in the town Ashton found out overwhelming to try and keep up, trying to tear his attention to pieces all around to his friends, to family, to hockey, he isn't sure what's quite left. Aggie and Ducky, something with Holden, and Autumn and.. then Nathan and Emily and Ashton lost the plot, it was hard to stay on top of everything more so during hockey season. But there's at least one person that will hold his full attention, even as he's packing up for a quick trip for away games.
"I'm supposed to be dropping you off some food, not the other way around," Ash chuckled leaving the bag of groceries on the counter. Everyone's been roughing it out, taking turns to check in our their injured friends, it's hard to keep track of your own day to day life sometimes. So least he could do was make sure March's fridge is stocked and grab some of his belongings left here before he leaves. Well, he just really wanted to check in on him, if Ash was being completely honest. They haven't really addressed new year's eve yet, other than the fact that Ashton could.. assure March nothing happened between them waking up in the same bed. Didn't say anything about the way Ash cradled his drunken face and stared until he accidentally fell asleep himself. That was on him he should've left the bed once March was fast asleep.
"I'll be fine on the road, they keep us well fed enough, and I'll be back in a couple days, week tops." Ash leaned on the kitchen counter facing March, brows knitted with concern, "Ags is home already with Ruby, she seemed to be better when I went to say bye, but.." Deep blues observed March, "you gonna be okay? You look like you got something on your mind."
