I've never dated an ugly chick. Do you think that's strange?

lol this is an interesting question. let’s take it apart a bit & then i’ll explain if i find that strange & why

first, attractiveness is fairly subjective. just b/c u don’t think the girls u’ve dated haven’t been ugly, doesn’t mean that they haven’t been (to someone else)

however, if none of them have been ugly to u, technically they haven’t, so that’s an interesting concept all on its own, to me anyway

so now i have to ask—have u made it a point to only date conventionally attractive women? how important then, are looks to u? & if the answer is super important, i find that strange, yes

i think that it’s a bit strange (but not necessarily bad) if u date ppl who look very similar & u never branch out so u prob miss out on enriching relationships & shit u kno?

Today's set pics made me so happy. DD is such handsome man... But Season 10 Mulder did not even come close to how he looks in a random candid. I don't know if it was too much makeup or weirdly styled hair or a combo of both, his look took me right out of it. Coupled with poor Gillian's tight wig face, it was not good. Season 11 is already infinitely better.

I totally agree with you. I think in S10 I was so focused on trying to feel OK with Gillian’s wig that I didn’t fully register it, but when I saw those pics of DD on set yesterday I was like AAAAAHHHH SO MUCH BETTER!! And exactly -- I would look at S10 Mulder and be like “well you know, David has gotten older, he’s not going to look like he did in Season 4; he still looks pretty damn good.” But then I’d see a candid of him on the street three months later and be like HNNNNGGGGGHHH. 

So...I do think a lot of it may have been the hair. I haven’t had a moment to go look closely at S10 Mulder pics and compare to the set photos, but I do feel in retrospect like his hair was kind of weird last time. And I also agree about the makeup, as I’ve said. There was a lot on Gillian but there was a lot on David as well, and I’m sure that was an artistic choice by someone and you can’t always know how these things are going to look in the finished product, of course, but anyway, I’m hoping that after seeing it on TV a decision has been made to dial that back for both of them (seeing that pic of Gillian has given me hope there). 

I’m honestly kinda blown away by the revelation that she was wearing a wig at least some of the time on Hannibal and I never realized. So here’s hoping that the “wig face” issue will also be overcome this year, since CLEARLY, IT IS POSSIBLE. 

I love my babies no matter what they look like, of course -- but it really is frustrating when they look so fabulous literally all the time EXCEPT when they are made up for the camera on my favorite show. It’s just like, why? How did you even manage to DO that?

Okay calling all diabetics who wear pumps

You know how insulin sites cause scarring but also fat growth?

And you know how some female bodied people have that weird indent on your side between your hips and your legs?

What if hypothetically you started wearing sites there, in a sort of equal pattern, so it’d sorta grow and get rid of the dent?

(the dent is my worst enemy in wearing clingy dresses-- my stomach I can get rid of or hide, the dent+keeping my hips not so much)

It upsets me so much that people don't appreciate Miyatama enough. Not just because it's a good pairing, but because they're amazing friends and have been through so much together. They've stayed best friends for over a decade. They started out in the same situation and even when their situations became different and they had their own struggles, they were still there for each other. They still cheered each other on and got excited over each other's accomplishments. They've grown into adults who are both different and unique, but they're still as close as ever, if not even closer now. And that's so hard to find. It's so hard to find someone you can stay with for that long and call them your best friend from the very beginning. They're such a good representation of a healthy, supportive, loving friendship and it's so upsetting that some people ignore how important they are to each other or don't fully appreciate how special it is that we as fans get to see glimpses of their private lives through the both of them. It makes me happy when people show that they acknowledge how important and special those two are to each other. I get happy when I see I'm not the only one who notices it and respects and enjoys it.

I'm so tired of people who are trying to prove a point by hypothetical situations with no real options, thinking they just said something smart while they actually proved nothing, and at the same time I'm so done with people who give their approval without thinking because they share the same common view.

In case X, would you choose a or b, remember that you must absolutely choose one?

No, I would probably choose neither. Please, take into account that not everything is black or white, that there are always many factors, that everyone has a different personality, they they grew up differently, that they don't share the same views, some of them may use logic, some of them may use emotion, everyone has a different philosophy in life and a different background, and maybe maybe the hold some values more dear than you, or that just don't care about values, that no one is willing to answer ridiculous hypothetical questions, that everyone is a person and beliefs and ideas happen to overlap even if you use a different thinking. So get stuck in your hypothetical world with your hypothetical options while you unconsciously forcing your opinion on others, even though you don't like to be in that position yourself. Get stuck until you understand that not everyone is the same and instead of trying to prove something behind a screen maybe you should learn and teach others to respect each other's opinion no matter how hard it and don't judge because they judge you.
