ah there is a way to retrieve them, albeit a tricky one. See things never get deleted. There are pointers to stuff kept in the memory and when you lose the pointer you cant access the file. Point being, until you add more data to the sd card/phone

-memory whatever, teh pictures are still there. Just find a decent (free) retrieval software, connect your phone and recover what images you can keyword- image recovery
Woman, do you know of any retrieval software for HTC One?!
