The soft jingle of chimes announces her presence in the Second Hypostyle Hall late that afternoon – the sound itself having become rather synonymous with her very existence, as the man she was searching for had no doubt come to learn over the past few weeks. And though the female had generally made it a point to keep to herself unless instructed, moving about the palace like a mere breeze – here one moment and gone the next – she’d appeared to have finally found for herself a companion that she’d taken to quite nicely; if only due to the fact that he could understand her with no concerns for miscommunication, being one of the few in the palace that was rather fluent in at least one of the languages of which she knew.
It was a nice change of pace after all, to finally be able to speak and not feel as though she were constantly scrounging for words she’d even had yet to learn.
Now whether or not he’d actually appreciated her company, however ---
That part still remained to be seen. “Amenpa. Amenpu. Where are you?”
Oh, and she’d found him a nickname, by the way.
