@shamisenson liked for a starter
"I made drums."
He has acquired many tools that could be used to make percussive sounds. A metal sheet over a bowl. An odd shaped log. A wooden board. Quite a collection indeed.
It's not obvious what his intentions are with this declaration, and he doesn't proceed to clarify, rather waiting to see the response of Kubo first, who he has specifically sought after just to show this collection.
If these 'tools' could be used as a drum set, it's highly unlikely the wolf child would be able to use it with any proficiency
" Ah - a child? " Zena's focus on figuring out her surroundings halted once she found herself aware of the other presence that had happened to arrive quite close to herself. " ... "
" Are... you perhaps lost, child? " Perhaps a question she shouldn't be posing - being quite lost herself, and undoubtedly being less familiar with the surroundings than she could imagine him being - all the same, she was far from the sort to not offer her help to a youth who may yet need it. Being the auspex of her world - lost though it was - to grant her kindness to those who may yet need her was only apart of her role.
Regardless - it would be all the better if her guess was wrong. Goodness knows she would hardly know what to do if she did need to help him get home, wherever that may yet be.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to spook you! I thought I was um, alone out here." She'd been wrapped around a nice warm rock out in the sun in order to make herself dry quicker after resurfacing.
"Just y'know, drying myself off so I'm not all wet and drippy when I continue my travels on land."
π her hood is pulled down when she hears the music , it's beautiful , it's wonderful and it floods back memories of being home. Granted , Poppy knows how to play a few instruments , but this one that the stranger was holding was unknown to her. ( it was also like ten times her size , so she doubts she would have much luck with her small hands ) She'd been on her own for longer than she wanted to , but she had never felt more free. Once the music halts , she speaks up , her voice is small compared to the notes that were just being played.
" that was . . . beautiful "
@shamisenson ( starter call -- accepting )
"Who are you?!" His tone is interrogating and fearsome, though a slight crack in it suggests that he's still terrified and just managing to muster some bravado here. Who could blame him, after what he had just witnessed? When will the gods just leave him be?
Admittedly, Kaguya didn't know exactly what it looked like when she appeared in a new world. Not to an outside observer, anyway. For all she knew, she could appear in a flash of sparks, or rend open a rip in the fabric of space itself. It was probably alarming, regardless, having a person materialize in a place where there was none a moment ago.
Though the concept of traversing between realities had since lost its luster, in practice... Each new world Kaguya entered still felt exhausting. Each reality with its own set of rules that governed it. New flora and fauna, new people and new cultures. More than once, some new dangerous nonsense that she was thrown headfirst into. It took time to reorient herself to each world she visited. (Not to mention the occasional abrupt change in altitude or temperature.)
The greeting she receives is not exactly a welcome one. Not that it would come as a surprise if she were a bit less caught off guard. A strange winged woman carrying a blade was a bit alarming to begin with, much less one who appeared out of thin air. Unfortunately, the Wanderer's curse didn't seem to care much about when and where it sent Kaguya slipping between worlds. On a city street one moment, and utterly lost the next.
As it stands, Kaguya can only give the boy a dumbfounded look as she tries to find her bearings.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Hm. Probably not a great way to start off this conversation.
