I really don’t like the memes that go around saying “thank Trump” for whatever. I’ve probably reposted a few but usually I scroll by because they seem .. wrong..
However, on this occasion, I think we should thank Trump. Because every day this farce of an impeachment trial continues is one less that the Democrats have to ram their agenda down our throats.
If he could make this trial last all winter, that would be great. Think of all the judiciary positions Biden won’t be able to fill. Think of all the “common sense gun laws” and bills funding all sorts of progressive pet projects that don’t get a hearing or a vote because the Senate is too busy putting on this ridiculous, unconstitutional show trial.
And I guess we should also thank Nancy Pelosi. Without her tireless devotion to getting revenge against Trump for defying her party by not losing to Clinton, we wouldn’t have this wonderful gift of legislatoral inaction.
