The dynamic I fall for every single time is the one where:
Character A has anger and daddy issues, has been burning for years now, silently shouldering his burdens, acting like the soldier he was raised to be but at the same time he's rebelling so hard, he's almost destroying himself. And he doesn't want to care but he does, it hurts, he does. He has a heart that is crying for help, for attention, for validation, for someone to help them breath again, for a bit of peace.
And character B is is the impostor, the error code, the one who's breaking society's law with his witty and his ways, but he's so gentle and he is so good at observing, he's in love with humanity, but he's also a force of nature, a potential deity, someone to be afraid of. He's powerful but he's desperate for someone to want him, love him, choose him, fight for him and with him, kiss his hands. He wants someone willing to devote his life for him, he wants to be worthy for someone.
And they are a power couple, the stuff new worlds are made of, an apocalypse, oceans burnings, empires falling, gods dying. They are a love beyond comprehension, the violation of space and time, will over fate, whatever you'd find beyond labels and limits.
They're impossible, a tragedy in the making, doomed from the start. They are what the sky is afraid of, because death can't stop them, only delay them.
And they won't stop until they get their happy ending.
