Rub Me The Right Way || Ember & Shane

Ember carefully unlocked the door to the room that he would call home for a few short months. He looked around the room and to his surprised it was quiet and empty. He was a little disappointed that he wouldn't get to meet his roommate but he figured he or she was out having a good time. Sitting his bags down carefully on the bed the started unpacking. One by one he neatly folded and organized all of his shirts, pants and undergarments in their appropriate drawers. After he was finished unpacking he took a look around the room, he took notice to the semi messy other half that belonged to his roommate. He was particularly peeved but he didn't let it get to him too much. It wasn't just his room and other's needed to be comfortable even if it meant having a partially clean room. 

After a hour or so of just pacing and flipping through the television stations he started to get antsy. He pondered if he should stay and wait until his roommate got back so he could properly introduce himself or just go ahead and leave. Ten minutes later Ember decided to go with the latter and headed towards the bathroom to make himself look decent. As he was slipping his jeans on he heard a rattle coming from the door and a few seconds later a boy a little younger than him entered the room. "Oh, hey. You must be my roommate. Yeah they called and said you'd be arriving. I'm Shane." He said extending his hand. "It's no problem, it gave me enough time to unpack and shower. I'm Ember. So what is there fun to do around here. I was planning on going out." Ember said taking Shane's hand in his own.

"I don't really know, I was just getting a bite to eat. I didn't feel like calling room service today. I haven't explored much of the island myself. Everyone paired off and yeah I kind of ended up the odd ball." He said as his face turned a deep red. "Well, you're not the oddball anymore. Maybe we can explore the island together. I mean I know I'm a stranger bitch and all but it beats being alone right" Ember said smiling before he pulled a black tank top over his bare torso. "Sure, that's be great." Shane replied enthusiastically. Ember hated to see anyone feel left out and alone. That was the way he felt most of his life, school and extracurricular activities took up most of his social life. "So what are we going to do first?" Ember asked with a wide smile. "I was thinking of hitting the beach. What do you think?" Shane asked with a hint of indecisiveness lacing his tone. "Sounds like a plan. Let's get going." Ember said grabbing a towel and some sunscreen.
