Some info gathered from the nice fans on twitter about Shane at the Screen Test Student Fest 2018.

He went with his mom and she met fans, too. A fan shared that she [Sherry] stayed in her car until the fan’s ride picked her up, and was in general the sweetest to everyone.

During the Q&A, he talked about Ryan saying he is the creator of Unsolved and “It’s not my show, it’s Ryan’s, he did it. He did” when the host tried to say the show should be named after him.

On how Shane got to be in Unsolved: “He [Ryan] shooted it with, uh, someone called Brent. Who knows [crowd laughs]. And in the middle of the season, Brent was like “eh, I don’t wanna do this”, he’s like-- ahh, quit like me.”, about Brent leaving. “So Ryan just-- very casually, says “you, aah, you wanna be in this?” and I’ve been watching the show, so... yeah, sure”. 

“It didn’t... It didn’t change anything. I don’t know, it’s very strange. It feels very insolating because it’s just a number. It IS a big number, but it’s just a number.” on getting a million views on a video.

Was super funny while presenting and during the Q&A.

A fan told him during meet & greet why he likes tweets of people telling him to “Shut up, Shane” and hating on the HotDaga, he laughed and answered he finds them funny.

The same fan asked if he seriously likes the HotDaga, he said he loves it because he thinks it’s funny. He added that Ryan seriously does hates it.

People says he was very sweet to fans, took pictures with everyone, signed everything he was given (fans got more than one thing signed) and talked with them while doing it.

Shane said he loves the fans at twitter and thinks their tweets are hilarous.

During the Q&A, he noticed a girl wearing an Unsolved shirt and yelled she should be the next person to ask him a question because “she’s wearing an Unsolved shirt!”. When the girl wasn’t picked for her Q, he waited until she was picked. Edit: I’ve been told it was @lapies-lazuli! Congrats!

Agreed to record videos of him greeting fans’ friends who couldn’t go to the event, even when there was more people waiting to mee thim.

And on what location has been the most scary for him while doing Unsolved: “You get used to it [the locations]. We went to a place called Weverly, we were going to sleep in one of the hallways, but Ryan was like, ‘On the roof. Maybe we should sleep on the roof.’, and I was like-- ‘That sounds like a good idea’. I didn't want him to know I was slightly disturbed by the building. In the roof, you can see... society and so."

Said there is a location, a prision, in the new season that gave Weverly a run for its money in most horrible place they’ve been.

“Because of the show [Unsolved], you are gonna get recognized on the streets sometimes. So half the time you are told “you are an idiot”. Ryan gets the same.”
