The Shang-High Rollers @ Ladyfest 2016!!

Come to Ladyfest on Saturday, March 5 and take part in our FREE derby workshops! We’ll teach you how to fall safely then have participants take part in a sock derby (roller derby without skates) scrimmage. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about derby in a wonderfully supportive environment. Both workshops are non-skating so are perfect for complete beginners as well as anyone who wants to either brush up on their skills or come say hello to us. More details will be posted next week. Looking for a new sport? Well, Shang-High Rollers, Shanghai's only roller derby team, are looking for you!! If you want to learn to skate and become part of the most bad a** sport in the world then come practice with us on Fridays from 7-9pm at Iconx Indoor skate park. All you need is your own pair of skates, which can be bought on Taobao for cheap - and if you don’t have skates, just come by to hang out, meet the girls, and get a feel for what derby is all about!  We’ve got all the protective gear you need for hire. Entry into the skate park is 100¥ and gear hire is 20¥. No experience needed! We teach you from the very basics and we welcome total newbies, pros, and everyone in between. Oh hello there!

It’s been a while, so long intact I forgot my log in details. So, hello there! Let me fill you in on stuff!

I still live in Shanghai, it’s coming up to two years. I am a teacher of small people and I am getting married.

Yes, I said that. I’M MOTHER FUCKING GETTING MARRIED Y’ALL!!!

I met my manfriend after living in Shanghai for about six months. He’s American Chinese and he’s awesome. We are ridiculous with each other and I love him. So. Woooooo!

I am shit at Chinese. I try, but I am embarrassingly bad at the language.

I started skating again. I co founded Shanghai Roller Derby, then got scared of it all and backed off. I’ve now backed on again and testing it with baby steps. It’s fun to skate again, I’m not that bad actually!

I have another blog, on wordpress, I used that a bit and now I don’t know where to post stuff.

Um…. Yeah. My life is full of normalcy these days. I’m still unwell but it’s managed on the day to day and all is good.

So… Yeah!

I guess I’m back!
