Do you think Teach would resent Shanks and Magnolia in Rainmaker AU?
We still don't know what happened to Eris in canon, but whatever happened no doubt left Teach with Mommy Issues for sure. Outside of that brief thought of mine-
Teach would 100 percent resent AND envy Shanks so very much.
Magnolia, less so, mostly because he sees her as a fellow 'survivor' and doesn't hold a grudge against her for surviving the best she can, much like he's done over the years.
But Teach would hate Shanks probably even more than in canon, which I'm guessing he most likely hates him for his raw talent and power, his blood relation to the Celestial Dragons, AND for him knowing the Secret of the One Piece that you could rule the world with (in his mind, I'm sure).
In the Rainmaker AU, Shanks has a living mother that has POWER and STRENGTH that Teach wants on his side so badly but Shanks gets it simply by being her son. Come on! How unfair is that!
Shanks isn't even doing anything with that! When it's fucking clear how much the Rainmaker would do for him! What a waste! Teach would do so much more with that, would love to recruit her. She fits the mold of powerful criminal with Devil Fruit Power that he prefers for his crew as Blackbeard perfectly.
But stupid Red Hair's in the way of that. Gr.
