june 1: i love what you said about appreciating mundanity and romanticizing the universal because it's what every person who has ever written about nature has done!
it's interesting, though, because no one has ever seen the sunset from the exact same perspective at the exact same time as you (like the flight scene in tfios). and maybe no one else has seen or will ever see those two damselflies (at least i think they were damselflies) because they might only live for one day. and it's crazy how some natural phenomena feel new to me, like seeing the bird whose call is so familiar to me, and seeing the leaves on the linden in front of my house unfurl like flowers, because i definitely saw those leaves at the same time of year in the past, but maybe i didn't stop and see them.
it really is annoying when people talk about the "silver linings of these unprecendented times," but you know where i'm going with this.
nature is what it is.
