Ezio Bosso, Italian composer, classical musician and conductor, died today at age 48. In 2011, following an operation due to the removal of a neoplasm, he was struck by a neurodegenerative syndrome which, however, did not prevent him from continuing to play, compose and direct.
(Time is a black pit. And the magic that us musicians hold in our hands is that to be inside the time, to expand time, to steal time. And music, among all the beautiful things it offers, has the characteristics of not being a commercial product, but shared time.)
